Today is my Mum's Birthday! Happy Birthday Mum! I love you! You and Dad need to come to Arizona for a visit, we miss you. It is so funny, I remember growing up people would ask how old my Mum was, cause she was young when she had me, and she was a hot long haired Mum when I was in school, and a friend of mine (who shall remain nameless, but he knows who he is) had a bit of a crush on her. I would always say 36, but then eventually I turned 36 and I was like wow I am now the age I always said my Mum was. Of course I am much older then 36 now, and some days I feel ancient.
Here is a picture of my Mum and Dad when I was home in April.
So Jeff went hunting for about 4 or 5 days and got back today, without a deer, but with lots of stories...monster sized skunks, dog sized deer, I was like what the heck were you smoking while you were up there? Ha!
While he was gone he gave Eric chores to do and told him to look after his old Mum, and he was so good he took out the garbage and watered plants, he even (since I am bad about this) put the chip clip on the chip bag...Eric is a lot like me, but so much like his Dad too...it's so funny how that is.
It truly is a miracle if you think about it, I mean how we are made and all that, like gee it is freaky, and since I suck at science as much as I suck at math, I am leaving it as that...a freaky miracle.
So a week or so ago I ran into Target and I always go by the dollar spot to see what new things they have in there that I can alter for a class, and I found these cute frames they are for a wallet size photo, and I picked up what I could...they were in the $2.50 section, now shouldn't they go from the $2.50 section, and then clearance before they get hauled off and "salvaged"? That is what I am thinking, cause no way would in a week they would go from $2.50 to salvage, but believe me everyone, that is what happened in every dang store I called...it was the same thing "oh we had 6 packs, 12 packs, blah!blah!blah! packs this morning but they are all gone now" I was ready to scream, all I needed was 5 more packs. I even said "well are they like sitting back in a box in the back room?" cause you know they have a magic back room in all those stores right? but they said no. I have enough to do a class but not enough for something else I had in mind.
But anyway I did play today with some of the black ones I got and this is what I did...freaky cute eh?
Paper: Night & Day Specialty DSP, Basic Black, Lavendar Lace, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Misc: Watercolor Pencils, Sansodor, Stumps, Basic Black Striped 1 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon, Martha Stewart (sorry I had to use it) Drippy Goo punch, Serif Essentials Alphabet, Big Shot
I think it turned out so cute, you could have it say anything, I just hot glued the frames to the ribbon.
Here is a close up picture of the individual frames, before I switched over to the new version of Typepad (it is like a new interface or something), I was able to space my pictures so the writing showed up beside it, but now it does not work...so I apologize, maybe I will figure it out eventually...probably just in time for them to update again...ha!
I want to say a big Welcome to Sandy and Carla to my Di's Country INKer's family!
Remember, if you are thinking about becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, you only have till the end of August to sign up for the awesome cost of only $85.00. Holler if you have any questions, I would love to have you join my family too.
Have a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping in!

Oh my goodness, this is soooooooo adorable.
