So this morning when I took Toby out to go potty there was a little prairie dog/ground squirrel on the edge of the back porch so Toby ran over to chase him, and then OMG! that danged snake was right there. I think we disturbed his breakfast. So I quick grabbed Toby up and tweaked my back. Ouch. The snake went behind the cupboard on the back porch and we went in the house. So I called Jeff and said "those cupboards need to be taken off the porch" and I explained why. I didn't see the snake anymore, and I hope I don't, at least not on the porch. I don't want him feeling comfortable coming up there. I kept saying thank goodness he was not a rattler cause I think if it was a rattle snake it would have coiled up, rattled and maybe made Toby want to go see it instead of freaking him out so he came to me. So that was my excitement for this morning...it's never a dull moment at the Gibbs' household and it seems when it is snake related Jeff is never home.
So my Designer Series Paper arrived today and I have started getting it cut for the shares, I really want to get it out before I leave for convention. I still have a few left so if you are wanting one, let me know so I can send you the paypal link.
I had to get all my class stuff ready for this weekend and I did, so that is good.
I do want to show you this card, that I love, love, love and I am going to be making some to swap at convention and I think this might be my thank you card for online orders for July...probably minus the vintage trinket so I can mail it. Thanks to everyone for orders placed so far this month, don't forget to keep track of your Country Dozen Rewards.
Isn't it gorgeous? I can't believe how much I love this card, and there is NO COLORING!!! Yikes where's the pod that this Diana escaped from anyway? Ha!

So did you see the oval and the dots embossed oval on the image?
That came from this embossing folder pack.
It's amazing! You get these two shapes, and they are separate, and after I stamped my images I placed the oval embossed image where I wanted. Tip: I put a piece of vellum over top of my image so ink did not transfer onto the folder. Then I ran it through my Big Shot and voila'. Don't you love it?
Well I am gonna head to bed so I can get up early and get back to cutting DSP, I hear some Icy Hot calling my name.
Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in.

Di,
I love everything you create, but you outdid yourself on this one...it's awesome!

Hey I hope your back feels better - ouch! Love your card and especially that oval!!! I'd fear I would have scared the dog with my scream after seeing a snake - yikes!!! Hope you feel better Di!!

This card is just beautiful! Love the colors and the simplicity! You can keep the snakes (good and bad ones) out your way. That's why I'm so happy to live in the middle of Phoenix where pigeons are the biggest problem! LOL

I have looked through my catty a number of times and don't remember seeing the Designer Frames Embossing Folders. You are the second one I have seen in just as many days. I must have that folder set. Yikes on the snake- you know my feelings on those yechy things. Keeping out rattlers is a good thing- snakes are still yechy. See ya in just a few days. I am going to have to say hi from Patrice (My Little Patch of Dirt) my BFF in case I forget in the excitement.
Carey and Roscoe (who has to stay home just like Toby) Roscoe says something about Toby and he get on the chatline and commiserate about not being able to go. He knows he is not allowed in the doggie chat rooms.

Oh My Gosh Di.....I'm freaking out just reading your snake story. SO GLAD it didn't strike and wasn't a rattlesnake. We had one (and only one snake sighting) in our yard last year and it was a little rattlesnake - FREAK ME OUT! I can live with LOTS of critter and pest - but NO SNAKES PLEASE! Hope your able to get the cupboards moved and a potential home for the snake removed. Happy Trails!
