...well to me! I couldn't resist. I won't tell you how old I am, but anyone on Facebook can see it. Some days I sure feel it.

Today is going to be the best birthday in a long time cause Mum is still here.  Jeff and Eric took the day off (my sweet men), so we are all going to Benihanas for lunch.  I go every year in Utah with my friends at Convention so I know how fun and yummy it is, so it will be neat to see their reaction to the first time going, especially Eric.

I wanted to show this gorgeous card I got from my sweet friend Kim Sinclair today. I love it and her!

Perfect timing too, so I have a beautiful card to post.  Today I finished up the Summer Smooches Shares I have gotten so far and started cutting the paper for classes this weekend.

I really need to keep Mum here cause around lunch time I thought oh I better go see what Mum wants and about 5 minutes later here she comes with a sandwich, chips and a drink for ME!  Come on Mum another month ok? If she didn't have to go to work as soon as she got back I would seriously bribe her to stay, my Dad was kidding (we hope) and told her he was going to change the locks when she left so really I'd be saving him a couple hundred bucks right?

While I cut paper Mum stamped, I had a few My Digital Studio card gut packets left over.

The poor girl, we horsed around all last week and this is the first time she has even stamped since she got here. Yikes.

Why I took the picture on this angle is beyond me, must have been that full belly from lunch.

Well it's back to paper cutting for me.

I had another round of the Nature Walk class today, and the last group will be tomorrow and it is gonna be a full house, so it will be fun, I have some more new faces coming too. I love meeting new people. It is such a small world I swear you usually have something in common with someone.  

We had a cold miserable day here in Arizona, there was hail in places, it rained here, and we can even see snow on the mountain.

I made cookies tonight and will have to share pictures tomorrow, it was the first time I tried the cookie press stamps, it was too much fun.  I am tired tonight and headed to bed.  I did watch Desperate Housewives though, boy it was a sad one.  How many more episodes before it is over? Three?

I love putting the little flowers with the pearls or the rhinestones on stuff...too cute, and by cutting the cage image into three gives it a cool look I think.

This card is from class, and when I was figuring out what I wanted to do I looked on my computer for samples I had saved and this one did not have a watermark so I have no idea where the idea came from, so if it was yours, let me know. Added since post: a bunch of you emailed me and said this was a make n take at the Orlando regionals. Thanks girls!!

At class the girls got their own Nature Walk stamp set and half a pack of the Botanical Gazette DSP. This DSP retired a while ago, but it matches the set, so when it showed up on the clearance rack I picked up a bunch of packages of it so we could use it at class, by getting it off the clearance rack it allowed me to keep the cost of the class down.

Well like I said this old gal is tired.

A Calendar for the Girls

OMG! It is taking me forever to make this calendar, (I am making a calendar for the fridge to keep track of their eggs) I think mostly cause it's not like they pose all pretty for me, so I am trying to find good pictures to use, and I have been trying to find them all over my computer to put into one file.  I know I have missed some but I want to get it done, plus it is not like it is the only thing I am working on.

I still have a few more pages to go, then it is the fun part adding emellishments and stuff.

I'll show you the cover...then I might slowly show you one a day...just to milk it...oh wait that would be a cow calendar, I guess I'm yolking it...ha!

Oh and don't miss it, more items have been added to the clearance rack. Gotta love that!

Jingle all the Way

The other day when Lorri Heiling came over, she brought Kim and I gift bags full of goodies. I have seen these shadow boxes and loved them and I can't believe I have one now. Pssst....Sharon, wanna come see it?

Isn't it cool, I believe the shadow box is from IKEA and then it has Christmas DSP in there with some beautiful silver bells, and then the Decor Element on top of the glass, gorgeous!!!

She also brought these sweet treats.

I was a good girl and I have not eaten the noses!

I can't say the same thing for the Rudolph cake pop, after I took the picture, he hyptnotized me with those eyes and I ate him...he was yummy!  Thanks for my sweet gifts Lorri!

Stampin' Up! has just let us know that the cool Stocking Builder Punch (that has that adorable matching set) will only be available while supplies last, it will not be carried over into the new catalog...so if you were thinking you'd wait on that punch, I suggest you get it while you can.

The Fabric of Our Lives...

...well my Stampin' Up! life! Ha!

Today Lorri Heiling came over and she is such a doll.  She has been asking about me giving her some hands on watercoloring tips for a while so we sat down and colored for a bit.

Isn't she so cute?  She got to my house in record time too, I was thinking she wouldn't be here for half an hour later, so I popped out to my studio with wet hair and she was here already...at least I was all dressed...yikes!

Here's sweet Kim, Lorri took her to her house and then the rest of Kim's family will come get her from there tomorrow. So tonight was back to regular routine at our house.

We wanted a picture of all three of us...oh wait, four including Toby, so I set my camera on top of my counter, and set the timer...we didn't realize it was taking a bunch of pictures, so we were moving and stuff, this one was fun.

This one was the best.  These girls are so much fun, I can't wait to see Kim at Leadership, and Lorri at convention. Smooches and hugs to you both!

I had made a card to go with one of my 12 Days of Christmas specials (the day it was fabric) and I loved a card by my friend Carrie Gaskin (hey honey!) so I cased it, I changed the stamp set but that was it...oh and I added some of our new hat pins...what fun!!!

Don't Box Me In

Today I had my downline Christmas Pizza Party, (we sure missed all of you that couldn't make it!!) When the girls got here I put the name of an item out of the catalog on a post it note and stuck it to their back, more tools and things like that, not embellishments or stamp sets, and then they had to go around and try to guess what they were. It is fun and helps people mingle if they are new.

We usually do a shoebox swap but this year we had these gorgeous Christmas boxes we could order so we decided to do these instead. Psstt...you can order your own over in the clearance rack, item #129024 and it includes everything, except the inks, glues and stamp sets. Please remember items are while supplies last.

This was a blast and it made making the box so much more fun and quick...well it seemed quicker...ha!

Betty was having fun too...and I think she secretly was glad it was this weekend, instead of last weekend when it did nothing but rain...eh Betty?

Mari in all her excitement wiggled and is blurry...cause it couldn't be the photographer...ha!

Tari and her box...I wish I had of timed her.  We had the video on in the background with Shelli & Sara making their box and we pretended they were here.  So when they would joke and stuff we would laugh too. It's the simple things in life isn't it?

So I was a total dork and forgot to take pictures of the girls and their boxes...here is mine.

So many details, I love it.

What is cool is everything is cut for you, you just have to glue, and stamp and have fun. Friendship, Pizza and Laughter are not included...you gotta supply your own...that is the fun part.

I really think you should zip on over and pick up a couple of these, even if you don't make them before Christmas, you could make them Christmas day with your family and friends and use them to put this year's Christmas cards in.

I made up a little goodie for the girls coming to the party, it is usually something different each year and easy to recreate.

She would find one that was totally almost white covered in the sour stuff and she double dog dared me to eat it...well what would you have done? Insert sour face here.

I just rolled strips of First Edition DSP up and put them in a glass ornament, I glued on a bow, and pinned on the greeting with a vintage trinket, and used some shreddie inside our kraft box, and then tied it up and it looked cute I thought.

Well this old gal is going to head to bed, we have been up late the last few nights and it is catching up with me.

She's Here!

 

Well I did a bit more shopping this morning...I'll show you what I got another time, something I have wanted forever, then I got my butt home to get my studio cleaned up cause my friend Kim was arriving around 6pm. Eric come home from work and was like "where's your friend?" and even Jeff got home and said "I thought Kim was coming?" They must have thought she was coming early and we would be fooling around all day...note to Jeff and Eric...that starts tomorrow...ha! Rhonda, MAMMa and Jen are coming over and we are going to stamp and go to the Deli for lunch and then stamp some more, then Saturday is my downline Christmas pizza party, and swap...and this year we are making the Christmas box so that should be fun.

So not much to show you today, but I will take lots of pictures while Kim is here.
