Holiday Mini Designer Series Paper Share

Can a person be re-booted?  I know you can be booted, we watched Survivor and people were booted off the island all the time.  But how about re-booted like a computer.  You know a do over, an oops things aren't working right, press this button and all is new again.

Well I wish that was the case, I swear if one more thing goes wrong, I'm seriously gonna go get a button installed.  

Remember the Doc gave me antibiotics for the pain in my wrist from the IV?  Well I have been having the most horrible taste in my mouth and guess what? I got me a case of oral thrush.  Not as bad as some of the pictures I have seen online, but enough that I seem to have a sour look on my face cause my mouth tastes awful all the time.  Things taste weird too. Of course I forgot to mention it to my regular Doc the other day, as I sat there and stuck another candy in my mouth to mask the taste.  But today when I went to my Urologist I said look at this and showed him my tongue, and he called in a perscription for some anti-fungal.  So I really think that now I have had issues from head to toe and that should be it for a long long time right?  I know you are probably sick of hearing about all this stuff and I am sick of it too. At least I got a good bill of health from the Urologist, everything is all "clear" if you get my drift.

The Holiday mini started today and that means I have an awesome new Designer Series Paper share available.

Here is a recap of what it is all about:

There are 4 packages of brand new Designer Series Paper that includes 1 package of Specialty DSP, plus there is a pack of Red Glimmer paper and a pack of Silver Glimmer paper  and if you were to order them all it would cost you over $65.00

What I am going to do is order them all and then cut the 12x12 packages into 6x6 squares, and you will get a square of each design of each pack (24 - 6x6 pieces), plus a 6x6 piece of the Red Glimmer paper.  The squares each person gets will not all be identical cause of the patterns of the DSP, but it is still going to be an awesome way to get your hands on the new papers without spending a lot of money.

As a little bonus from me you will also get a 6x6 square of the beautiful Silver Glimmer paper.

The cost will be $14.00 and that includes priority mailing. The turn around for the packages will probably be a couple weeks or so, as I will need to order them, get them in, cut and packaged, and off to the PO.  I will let you know if there are any slow downs with back orders or anything. I finally got my FLICKs cards done and I cased one by my sweet friend, Robin Merriman, I added the ribbon punch and colored with ink refills and a blender pen, but other than that it is the same card. Thanks Robin, you da bomb girl!

FLICKs for June - Better Late Then Never

With convention being a week later this year, and then me getting sick once I got back home I didn't get my FLICKs cards for June done till the other day.  To read more about what FLICKs are, here is an old post to check it out. That is one of the perks my direct downline girls can earn.  I asked them if they wanted me to keep doing them or change it this year, and they said no, they like em, so there ya have it. It musn't be a bad thing.

So I swapped with Mary Ellen Byler at convention, she is part of Robin Merriman's GoDiva girls, that I am honored to be a part of, and I loved her card, and was gonna case it and then realized oopsee I needed more Wisteria Wonder cardstock...I knew I had plenty of Pool Party since that is my favorite new color, I had run out before during the pre-order time when we can only get so many packages, and that won't happen again.  So I changed it up a bit.  Then I saw that Kristin Kortonik had did a card from Mary Ellen's swap too, so I added the little bee on there, and then I just love me some Teneale Williams, so I had to add some of the French Foliage set on there too, so really it's like all us 4 stampers into one.  I loved these colors together and well what do you think? I hope the girls like it when they open their packages.

FLICKs for May - Have a Seat

Blog surfing always has me checking out a few of my favorites and one is Kimberly Van Diepen, she does such beautiful work. Thanks Kimberly, you are amazing!

So I loved a card she did like this but she used Pool Party, and I have used all my Pool Party paper (as a Demonstrator we can only order so many during pre-order time).  I can't wait to get more on July 1. 

So I changed it to Blushing Bride.

Tonight I had the Masterchef show on and what a crazy mess, and I am so glad the person that went home is gone, he was such a spoiled brat, but the girl he was up against at the end, she was so mad and I was almost wishing she would go too, just the way she was acting was bad sportsmanship.  I have not watched all of them to know their back story, but it seems like he always blamed other people.

Well I am going to sign off for tonight, I have lots to do tomorrow.

10/10/20 My Digital Studio Card Class Tips

I have had a bunch of questions about how I did my 10/10/20 MDS card class, so I thought I would just do a quick video to show you how I did it.

 

Boy watching the video I sure love the look of my french manicure....now I am hesitating letting them grow out, but it sure can be hard doing stuff with them, maybe I can see if the girl will make them not so thick. Boy such decisions as a girl eh?  Oh and speaking of decisions as a girl.  An OLD school friend who shall remain nameless (Amir) said that the photo of Jeff and I on cruise made me look older then Jeff. Well that didn't sit well with this old girl who is younger then hubby, so I am now wearing foundation, I also noticed it made my mustache more noticeable so today for the first time ever I had my upper lip waxed...I have had other areas waxed but this was the first for the lip, so now I have a big bump there, and I am hoping by morning it goes away. Jeff just laughed at me when he got home, he said "what happened to you?"

So back to the video, I hope it answered any questions about the class, this also was the FLICKs card the girls got for their sales in April.

While I was out waxing and buffing myself I stopped and picked up some external speakers for my laptop, that is one thing I have missed since I moved my PC in the house, I had an awesome sound system on it, so I picked these up and they will do, they sure can't compete, but at least now I can hear my laptop.  I have now become aquainted with Pandora and am really liking it.  Now I can cut paper to music again. I can't wait till James Durbin gets his CD out...come on, come on already!!

FLICKs for March

I ran to Price Club this morning and picked up a bunch of stuff, and I did a bad thing, I went hungry. Yep, that is not a good thing to do when you go there, but I did get some good stuff, and some household stuff we needed, paper towels, toilet paper, things like that.

Even after spending all that money, what did I do before I left? I bought me a hot dog and drink for $1.50 - Ha! 

So I had taken my bag that zips up and is insulated so stuff does not melt on the way home, and when I was unloading these heavy danged old boxes out of my cart, I almost ruptured something it was so heavy, I saw that the guy just put the bag still all folded up and stuck in one of the boxes, he didn't even put my frozen stuff in it...well gee thanks fella, I was just taking that bag inside to give it a tour of the store.  So I had to go right home since stuff was not packed right and I didn't want to be doing it in the parking lot.

I hadn't shown the FLICKs (First Level Incentive Card Kits) card for March yet so I wanted to do that, and I think I still have one from my 10/10/20 Birthday card class I will show another day.

So guess what?

I got my first critter fix for the year. I have seen a few running around but today was a fun day...well for me anyway, not sure about this little guy.

When I went out in the back yard, for some reason I went over to the backyard kitchen and this little guy was in the sink.  They fall in and then usually they can't get back out cause it is too slick, so I caught him and brought him in for a few pictures.

He's thinking, darn it, I wish I hadn't just peed cause I would like to give this crazy woman a palm full.

Look at his pretty under belly color, like blue turquoise, will have to google that to see what it is, maybe it means he was cold since he was in the stainless steel sink when I caught him. Added since post: I googled it and he is a Sagebrush Lizard and here is more information on him - yep it was a him...or a Western Fence Lizard, more information here.  Although I got a much better picture of his under belly then Wikipedia did...just sayin'!

I love this one, he's giving me the "wanna buy some car insurance lady?" look.

So then I figured I'd let him go out front near the roses and where Jeff has his split rail fence, so as I was walking out there, where I was going to set him down, there was another one, and I was like "hey!" and then he scooted down the post a bit.

This one's body was a bit fatter. Then he ran off when I got closer.

So I put my little guy on the fence and he stayed there for a bit, probably thanking his lucky stars he was saved from the sink. Then I went to touch him and he jumped down onto the ground.

Look how great he is at blending in, he looks like a stick eh?

So that was my critter excitement for today.  With the weather getting nicer I am sure there will be more, and I hope they are just the fun critters and not the slimy no legged kind if you catch my drift.

FLICKs for February

I hope I can see to type, I just finished watching American Idol...I'll talk about it more later.

Today my niece Lauren came over and we went to lunch, we stopped off at the Pet store and I picked up a couple Easter toys for Toby and a couple containers of meal worms for the girls. Toby got one stuffie right away (the tail was chewed almost off in no time), and Lauren and I sat outside on lawn chairs while the girls ran around and I poured out the worms and Alice was a crazy chicken and tried to eat everybodys. In fact Clara would get one and Alice would run over and almost rip it out of her mouth. Crazy! I let them out later tonight and I don't know what was wrong with Gertie but she kept getting all up in Clara's face, like standing tall and making her neck all long and almost pecking at her, I told her I wouldn't have any of that. I'll have to google and see what that is about. They used to pick on her so maybe she is getting back.

OMG! and you should have seen Alice, I should have taped her, Lauren and I were laughing. Have you ever seen a chicken jump? It is so funny, she was jumping to get the leaves that are sprouting on the tree that overhangs the fence, that Jeff is going to trim so I stop catching my shirt on it..hint! hint!

I saw this adorable card by the talented Twila Mooneyham and I knew I wanted to do it for my FLICKs (First Level Incentive Card Kits) for February.  I tweaked it just a bit.  Thanks for the card idea Twila, you rock!!

Ok, so I watched Grey's Anatomy after American Idol and I can't wait till next week.  I sure hope they don't have a 2 hour American Idol and I miss it.

OK so speaking of American Idol, stop reading if you have NOT watched it.

It was a much more entertaining, and gut wrenching night then the night before.  To start off the Idols sang and then they opened up the doors and Stevie Wonder was wheeled out playing the piano and I thought Steven Tyler was gonna faint, I think he was as excited as everyone else was, then Stevie Wonder finished his song and started to talk to Steven Tyler and said something about it's what friends do, and they all started singing Happy Birthday to Steven Tyler, they had a cake and everything and Steven was totally shocked!

The first three on stage were Lauren, Pia & Scotty and they were all safe.  Tonight they were going to be figuring out the Top 10 that will travel around and do concerts.

I must say there was lots o'cleavage tonight. I'm just sayin', that's all.

Then Sugarland performed...Yay! Country!! Now I am so glad that Jennifer Nettles is a singer and not a clothes designer, cause she is a little bit color blind, and she was a little late for the green pants, St Patrick's day was last week, but at least she wore her Easter belt.

They showed some fun times at the house where they were wrestling as James loves wrestling.

Then they did my boy James, and Paul - Ryan said they were not safe, and I almost was sick, and then the door opens up and Hulk Hogan stands there and I thought James was gonna faint.  So Hulk tells them they are safe and then he pounds Ryan in the face and he falls into the crown, and then he rips off his shirt.  Unforunately now anytime I say "keep your shirt on" this vision will come to me and I will shiver just a little bit as it was indeed creepy.  Jeff said this is his signature move the whole shirt thing, but I am like maybe he should retire that. Who wants to see a 100 year old fake tanned shaved chest...not I, not I.

Then they did Stefano, Thia & Jacob. Jacob was safe and Thia and Stefano went to the bottom three chairs, so I was right with Thia, not with Stefano.

Then they did Casey, Haley & Naimi, and I was saying see ya Hayley, bye bye Haley, and OMG! Casey was in the bottom three. But then I said to Jeff maybe he is in the bottom three of the top three, do they really say the bottom three of the voting? Could they be playing sneaky just to make sure we vote every week and to keep up the suspense? So they then said they would send back one and I thought Casey and nope it was Naimi, so then we had to wait while Jennifer Hudson sang. She looks amazing and  has lost so much weight, I do like her wiggly hair better than her straight hair though.

Then it came down to the bottom two and I was convinced and I am sure Stefano was too, that he was going home, and I will be darned Casey was going home and I was like crap, my prior theory of the bottom three of the top three had to be wrong.  Even the judges and the danged audience and the other Idols were like WTF? Yeah I said WTF? cause there is nothing wrong with saying Fudge. Ha!

Then Casey had to sing for his life and I knew the judges would save him, and I had tears in my eyes as he started to sing, and I think he got out like 5 words and then the judges were like "Stop! Stop!" They said they didn't need to hear him they knew he belonged on the show so they used their one time save on Casey and he was flabbergasted, and I thought he was going to pass out. Next week will be so good, but 2 will get voted off, I wonder what they will sing? I thought they used to tell us.

They decided at the end that there will be the Top 11 traveling, so that was cool. Heck what's one more person.

So what an amazing night eh? And I think my BFF Tracy needs to move to Arizona so we can watch together, OR she needs to tape it on her end and then watch it three hours later with me. Right?

Well I am headed for bed, gotta get up early finish cutting card stock, plus I have a workshop tomorrow night and am looking forward to meeting some new gals.

Heartfelt Blissful FLICKs

It's that time of month again to get my FLICKs (First Level Incentive Card Kits) done and in the mail to my girls.  I saw this card by Vicki Burdick and I loved it and knew I wanted to do it. Sale-a-Bration has a month left and this way the girls will have a card they can use at their classes or workshops to show off this gorgeous Bliss set. When I went out to gather eggs this morning I got a really cute one.

Look at the cute speckles on the one.  We got 4 eggs today, with the cooler weather, we have been getting from 2 to 4 a day. I also had not taken any pictures of the girls lately so I took my old point and shoot camera out to catch a few.

Gertie moved her head so I didn't get her face, I don't know how to take the pictures so the danged old wires don't show, if I get close that kinda works.  But you can see her gorgeous color.  I am pretty sure the speckled egg came from Gertie.

This one makes me laugh, Stella is such a character, and she can't wait to run up into the roost to be petted when you come out.  It looks like she is saying "hey make sure you get my best side" I love the cocked head.
