Another Little Tease and My Beautiful Leadership Gifts

So here I am again with another tease.  Aren't I bad?  I guess I just want to wait till it is done to really show you, ya know? Mark dropped off my upper cabinets and the cardstock cabinet for the "cutting wall". They are not all the way installed and he needs to bring the doors, and that will be Tuesday, I stuck some stuff in them just so I could get the tables cleaned off for classes and so I could also remove some of the odds and ends furniture that I was using.  It already looks cleaner in here and less cluttery.

This will be the cardstock cabinet, Mark is having my file cabinet so it fits inside and then the 12x12 will be on the other side.

I also wanted to show you the stuff I received at Leadership, from Stampin' Up! as well as my sweet friends.

This is a few of the goodies we got from Stampin' Up! and just think they never even called my color so I didn't win a door prize and I still got all this.  We are so spoiled.

This was our Leadership purse, we usually get a tote or a bag, and this definitely is a purse. I think that Vera Bradley made it, cause it is so just like their stuff.

This was my matching calendar note book from Max my SAM (Service Account Manager) if you are a certain title or if you have earned the incentive trip you get a SAM.

This was the matching wallet that we could purchase in Memento Mall. I was not going to get it, cause well it is not really my style, but with the calendar book, and then Mandy telling me I had to get it cause it would be great for running into the store without having to take your whole purse, well she twisted my rubber arm and I caved.

This was our make n take box, and well...ummm...gulp...I still have not finished them, I am the worst, I gab and visit and I don't stamp, I would rather do it at home.  I did starch my flowers though, cause well I don't iron (clothes) so I can guarantee that I don't have any starch...corn starch yes, but not spray starch.

Another sweet gift, this one is gorgeous and the picture does not do it justice it is from my (related somehow right?) Debbie Keane (maiden name Gibbs) and inside the little box is some lipbalm. Thanks Debbie!

Oops this is the bookmark that hangs on my calendar book from my SAM. Love the key and the button embellishment.

Look how ingenius this is, it is a hat made by "Queen" Elizabeth Freiter who is such a sweetie and she even sat and kept my BFF Tracy company when her dang flight was delayed. Thanks Liz!

This little present was on my pillow and it is from my sweet girlie Kim Sinclair, her and MAMMa hung out while Rhonda, Tracy, Becky and I were at Manager's Reception and Tracy and I had adjoining rooms with Rhonda and MAMMa so when we came back we had them on our pillow, it was like being on the cruise...ha!

This is the inside, and it is actually a Clear-Mount Stamp Case #119105 you get 4 to a pack for $4.95, and it has DSP as the cover and well the chocolate is extra, yum and gorgeous. See ya in a week or so Kim, looking forward to our day!

This little gem was made by Kim's BFF the famous Becky Roberts, so beautiful, I have a cupcake class coming up and I am thinking this would be so much fun to make. Cause look at the cupcake on it. Too fun!

I have more to show you, I have a beautiful bag tag from Amy and that is in another bag, I need to take more pictures, but I gotta get my butt off here and get some cards done for tomorrow, I have stamp club, bonus cards and FLICKs to do. Yowza!!!

Hey a side note, do you want Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives?  I wonder if he ever gets in that red car and starts to drive to his next Triple D place and all of a sudden, oopsee, I got to poopsee?  Cause you would think all that food he chows down on something would have to not agree with him right?

Grand Ole Opry

OMG! I forgot how many stars we saw at the Opry until I started looking at the pictures, and I am so glad I have the program so I can remember who everyone is (I hope!)

My BFF Tracy, Rhonda, MAMMa and I took a cab downtown and we wanted to do some shopping, we were hearing about buy one pair of cowboy boots and get two free.  Well the styles they had were not for me, plus the prices were nuts.  I think all I bought were a couple magnets at the Opry house, and we all went into a bar and grabbed a glass of tea to go.

We went into Coyote Ugly and the music was loud but there was no girls dancing around, they had the funniest machine, you know you put a dollar in and those clamps things move around and you try to pick up stuff, well most time you see stuffed animals, well this had adult "toys" too funny!

And darn it all I didn't pack an extra bra...

...not sure if these are from customers or the waitresses?

These little beaver guys are for GuRuss and Kathy, I went in to see if they sold bumper stickers but they didn't so the picture is gonna have to do.

Minnie Pearl welcomed everyone and cracked a few jokes mostly about trying to find a man.

Little Jimmy Dickens was the host for the first half hour.  It was actually a radio show and the MC man was actually doing commercials in between the songs.  Dollar General, Bass Pro Shops, Humana, & Cracker Barrel were the sponsors that night.  Rhonda was pretending she had a remote and she was fast forwarding the commercials, her batteries must have been low cause it was not working...ha!

Jeannie Seely, she was amazing and I think she was flirting with someone in the front and at one point she turned around and like stuck her bum out (not naked like, but you know what I mean) it was funny.

We noticed Vince Gill sitting in the back of the stage. He was gonna host the last half hour.

Well I gotta hit the hay, I have almost all my cards cut for my 10/10/20 and need to get it all done so Friday Mark can get the cabinets all the way in and I won't be in his way.

Leadership Gifts

 
Today I have been a cutting fool, the DSP shares will go out Wednesday.  I had to run over and look at the one cabinet and it will go in tomorrow, it looks so nice and I can hardly wait till it gets all the way done. I keep telling myself patience. It won't be all the way done till February, and I promise to post pictures.

I wanted to show the little frame thing I did for Leadership gifts.  I just made a few. These little frames I got in the dollar spot a year or so ago and they turned out cute I think.  The saying I got off of Shanna Jensen's artisan award winning frame she did a couple years ago and it is too funny and can be read a couple different ways.

Here it is up close, I did it in My Digital Studio. Neat eh?

I wanted to show you a few more pictures from Leadership and I will continue to do so for the next couple days.  I know tomorrow will be busy finishing up the DSP cutting, I have to get my teeth cleaned too, I had to reschedule it from a few weeks ago when I had that blasted cold sore.  I also have 400 cards to cut for my classes this weekend, we also have Spring Fling coming up and I need to get that all designed up too. 

Stampin' Up! always have fun prizes and the prize patrol runs them out to you, well this year there were hand stamped cards in with the stamp set and paper, and my friend Amy got this one and it was even made by Shelli, so cool eh?

Here's Lisa and Amy (hey you two cuties!!), two fun gals and they are like my BFF Tracy and I they get as much "us" time in as they can at events since Lisa moved out of state a few years ago.

We had one fun night after Stampin' Up! served us dinner and we were to do cards for Ronald McDonald house and then we were to do a card as a table and submit it to win a stamp set.  The thing is they give you this box with paper, embellishments, adhesive, inks, and we had a box that was not packed using the color coach guidelines, and oh my gosh I hate stamping under pressure, and it's even worse when you got stuff that does not match.  So this is the card our table did, and I shouldn't say our cause all I did was cut and scored the easel and stamp the greeting, the rest of the girls did the rest. But it turned out not bad I must admit. Our table did not win, and the cards that did, were awesome.

I think I might do this sometime at one of my downline meetings, but I will put something together in the box that goes together.

So I watched Cash and Cari tonight and what? it has been on just a couple weeks and already a repeat? Geesh, I am not liking the show like I thought I was going to, I think I'm gonna go back to watching Two & a Half Men.

Ok, this old broad has to hit the hay, I got to get up early in the morning so Mark can get the cabinet put in.

Home at Last

I had an amazing time at Leadership, I think it had to be the best one ever, or at least in a long time. I got home around 6:00 I think we pulled in, so Jeff made supper, I unpacked, I answered a few emails and so I just wanted to finish showing the rest of my 2011 My Digital Studio calendar and then I'll post more pics of Nashville tomorrow, I am a whooped traveler.

I love this little calendar, and now I can put it on my desk, I took it to Nashville to show my BFF Tracy, MAMMa and Rhonda cause you really have to see it in person to appreciate the quality of it.

Well this old girl is headed to bed, it's back to business tomorrow (after a couple loads of wash, a good bit of petting for the girls, and a good nights sleep with Toby curled beside me - he missed me - well the guys did too but Toby shows it better...ha!!)

My first bunch of cabinets are supposed to start going in tomorrow, cross your fingers ok?

Last Night in Nashville...

...we ended it in style.

We went to the Grand Ole Opry and saw some amazing talent, (MAMMa didn't think so, but she was glad she went) then the Governor Inaugral Ball was at the Hotel so we got to listen to a Jerry Lee Lewis impersonator that was fantastic.

I'll just share a couple pictures for now and post more when I get home, we have to pack.

But this is a bronze of Roy Acuff and Minnie so not sure if the top guy was him. Will google it later...did I mention I got to pack? Ha!

It's 2am...

...and I am whooped, plus I am getting dizzy watching that stupid little circle spin and spin while the page takes forever to load.

I will try to post a little later today or I may wait till we get home.  I might see about getting my own wifi connection thing for traveling instead of relying on the hotels, would that make it quicker?

We are going to go to the Grand Ol Opry so I am looking forward to that, it will be the first time we have stepped outside since we got here, it could be 5 feet of snow for all I know...ha!

Tea for Two

We took a stroll today around the Gaylord Opryland Resort and it is so beautiful and huge, we have not even seen half of it. We did a little bit of shopping and then headed to class.

But as we were walking look at this cute little setting.

It's out of ivy...so sweet isn't it? Even the table is ivy. 

They are taking down most of the Christmas stuff, I think the guy said Monday they will know what will replace it. 

So today was classes and we missed our first one and got there late, so bad.  We will try to catch it again as it is taught by my good friend Robin Merriman.

Look at the chandelier in the main stage place. This convention center and resort is beautiful it is hard to believe the devastation that went on a year ago.

This year was a bit different as we were on our own for lunch cause Stampin' Up! was gonna serve us dinner.

We had a great salad and then we had chicken, asparagus (stinky pee - Ha! that is a side joke with my BFF Tracy and I), rice pilaf and like a roasted tomato, it was good.

And cheesecake, I have been trying to be good, I am not finishing all my food, and I am trying to cut down on the snacks, but my sweetie pie Cara from Canada brought me Ketchup chips, kit kat chunky chocolate bars and OMG! Tim Hortons coffee, Jeff is gonna go nuts for that! Thanks honey you are the best. Mwah!!

We did a swap with Robin's GoDiva's and I will share those cards when I get home (remind me), I want to say a big shout out to LuAnne, she couldn't make it.  We missed you and love you girl!

After dinner we had a thing to make a card out of contents in a box, and we had horrible colors, sorry but it was true, it was a test I'll tel ya, and then they opened up momento mall and we could go in according to our button color, I got a few things...or more then a few ha!

We even had an impromptu photo session in the lobby of the ladies room (I refuse to use the men's room that has been converted to the ladies room for us...sorry I'll hold it or find a bush first) Faye didn't have her camera so Tracy took the picture and I said I'd blog her...ha!  I must say a big thank you from the bottom of my heart for everyone that stops and says hi and that you read my blog.  I will tell "the girls" when I get home that everyone loves them as much as me...oops and the boys too can't forget about them.  I just hope the guys are taking care of them for me, and I don't have any chicken left overs in the fridge....eww...they wouldn't dare.

So I am gonna sign off for now, Tracy, Rhonda and MAMMa are looking at each others swaps in the other room and I wanna go join in the fun.
