Hop on Over...

...and try another color challenge. It's my 2nd one, and I hope you play along.  This weeks colors came from the new Pawsitively Prints Designer Series Paper.

Stamping With Di - Color Challenge #2

Just like last week, link back here in the comment section and show me what you did, I loved seeing everyone's cards last week.

Color challenge 2 winner I will pick a winner from all the entries on Sunday September 6 at noon AZ time. I can't find where I said who the winner was, someone asked me to please post the winning card each week, so here it is..Congratulations to Carol'Anne!

What will you win? Well my card right here. I just got this stamp set and it is so cute, I hope you think so too.

Well I got all my 10/10/20 Christmas cards figured out, and I am working down my To- Do List.

One thing I want to do, is proudly Welcome Sheri Smith to my Di's Country INKers family.  I have known Sheri for quite a few years, and I know she is going to do awesome, she has talent like you wouldn't believe.  Welcome Sheri!!

If you too are thinking of becoming a Demonstrator, don't put it off much longer, the $85.00 kit ends on August 31st.  I had a few people ask me if they had to do all the classes and events like I do? My answer is no you certainly do not. Stampin' Up! has a very small quarterly minimum that you have to do and that is it.  I choose to do the classes, clubs, events etc. cause this is my full time job, and I love doing it.  If you work outside the home, have small kids, or just want to save money on your Stampin' Up! orders, you too can be a Demonstrator.  Just holler at me if you have any questions, I would love to have you join my family too.

Well I am headed to bed...Monday sure came quick didn't it?

Have a super Monday and thanks for stopping in!

You Got the Cutest Little...

DSCN9080 copy ...Baby Face!

The other night I went to class at MAMMa's, I had so much fun, I went to dinner first with my dear friend and downline Teri who I have known for 20 years, and then we headed over to class, and found Debbie, another one of my downline there too, I met some new girls too and we had a blast...chattin' up Twilight and Edward and Trueblood, all that fun vampire stuff.

To top it off we did the cutest cards, I will show you the other ones in the next couple days.

I was like gee what one do I show you first?  I think this was my favorite one.  I had not made one of these baby bundles before, I had seen them on Andrea Walford's blog, she has such fun punch ideas.

So when I was over at MAMMa's and saw that we were gonna do a baby bundle, I was so excited and I was like sign me up.

What's a Body Attachment?

So Jeff got another Jury Duty thing....he gets one once in a while from Maricopa County and we have to call and say we don't live there (for the 5th time), and then they remove him (till the next time), and then pronto we get one from Pinal County where we do live.

So on the bottom of the summons thing it says: "Failure to report or call may result in a body attachment or contempt of court charges."  Now the last part I understand, but the first part...body attachment, what the heck is that? and could I possibly pick out the body attachment to be attached?  My mind is thinking...   BladeTrinity002 ...the six pack of Ryan Reynolds in Blade, or perhaps...

Lgpp31687+robert-pattinson-is-edward-twilight-poster ...that wild just got out of bed tossled hair of Edward in Twilight, maybe with a little side order of fangs?  Not that I want to change my hubby, cause he's a keeper...but I am just saying if they are going to attach something to his body don't you think his wife should have some say in the matter?  When he calls in the night before to see if he is required to go in, maybe he can ask...ha! Only kidding.

While I was stamping and cleaning my desk up, I came across another class card that I never finished from one of MAMMa's classes.  I think this is one from when my BFF Tracy was here,  I just had to assemble a bit, color my cupcake and stuff, so there was not tons to do.  I love it, and sniffle and weep a little at missing this DSP, but I will get over it. It is another of those famous Tri-Fold Shutter cards.

DSCN9072 copy Stamp Set: Party Hearty, Crazy for Cupcakes, Celebrate Everything (the big cupcake and greeting are retired)

Paper: Baja Breeze, Sweet Slumber DSP, Riding Hood Red, Watercolor paper, Sahara Sand

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, Baja Breeze, Going Gray, Pumpkin Pie

Misc: Riding Hood satin ribbon,3/4" circle punch, Large star and star punch, silver brads

DSCN9074 copy I added a bit of white gel pen to the cupcake and around the celebrate word.  Gotta love that white gel pen.

So I had the TV on the other day and Mrs. Doubtfire was on, oh my, I forgot how much I loved that movie.  I love a funny movie that also makes me cry, I think we need to cry now and then ya know?  Flush out our systems, Re-boot...whatever!  Another movie I love is Mr. Holland's Opus, when they finally realize their son can not hear, it so makes me cry because of our son Eric and his disabilities, it is just one of those sad but feel good kinda movies,  and just so you don't think I only love movies with Mr. & Mrs. in the title, one of my favorite movies is Serendipity.  Oh and an oldie but a goodie Barefoot in the Park, which does not have Mr. or Mrs. in the title, but it is about a new Mr. & Mrs. and the beginning of their married lives, it is hilarious, and I could watch it every week, I loved Mildred Natwick, she played the Mum of Jane Fonda's character, and when she had to walk up all those flights of stairs...and the UPS guy too, oh my gosh I need to watch it again.  If you have never seen this movie, go rent it now...heck I think I bought it for $5.00 at Walmart, it is worth whatever you spend for it.  I want you to tell me YOUR favorite part. I love watching it with someone who has never seen it before cause then it is like I am experiencing it for the first time too.

OK, enough of my blabbery...I got a class at MAMMa's tonight, and I am so happy, I love to sit and be the student every now and then.

Have a great Saturday everyone, and thanks for stopping in!

Good Enough to Eat

You wouldn't think I was talking about a card would you? But I am.  In the new Holiday Mini catalog that starts September 1, there is a fun new product in there called Sweet Treat Cups.

I played around really quick like with them, and the new Nouveau Chic Designer Series paper, and I used up the rest of my fancy schmancy M&M's that match the paper.  I need to get some more, they are yummy and I have another idea rolling around in my head. This is the Tri-Fold Shutter card, and I used the pattern that has the full size front, you can see how to do it here.

DSCN9069 copy Stamp Set: Kind & Caring Thoughts

Ink: Basic Black, Apricot Appeal

Paper: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Nouveau Chic DSP, Apricot Appeal

Misc: Black grosgrain ribbon, My Way punch, sweet treat cups, Flower Folds Bigz Die, 1 3/4" circle punch, nestability scallop circle, Fresh Favorites I buttons

I didn't do too much decorating on the inside, a little ribbon tied with a button on it, and a simple greeting.  The DSP is so pretty and I didn't want the card to be too busy...I mean heck aren't they gonna tear it up to get to the yummy goodness inside the treat cup? We will also be selling special envelopes so you can mail your little yummy goodness to your friends and family.

DSCN9071 copy Here is a little better close-up of the treat cup/flower center.  Neat eh?  So many ideas to use with them, what do you think would be neat to go inside?

Hey don't forget to do my Color Challenge, you need to do your project and link to my blog in the comment section so I can pick a winner. I am picking a winner TODAY at noon AZ time!!! Show me what you have come up with.

I want to thank everyone that took advantage of my sale while I was at Convention, I really appreciate it.

I picked the three lucky tickets to get a little goodie bag in the mail and those tickets are:

Convention winners009 Congratulations to Nancy, Ruth & Vivian!!!

Well I got to get back to designing my 10/10/20 Christmas card class.

Have a great Friday and thanks for stopping in!

Rubber Cement Drizzle Tutorial

One of the techniques that I taught at this month's TLC (Technique Lover's Class - I took the Club name out...it was confusing people), so it is just Technique Lover's Class a.k.a. T.L.C.  - anyway, one of the techniques was Rubber Cement Drizzle.

I did this years ago but I don't remember ever doing it for a class, and this month's TLC centered on glossy paper and different things you could do with it, and this one is a definite.

Here is the original post where you can see the finished card and recipe.

I made 3 videos today and will show one per week, and they are the techniques from this past weekends class, luckily I did them this morning, as I burned my dang fingers draining the spaghetti tonight, the stupid water came up onto the handle of the strainer and YOWZA!!!! They are still red and sore, don't know if they will blister or not.  Jeff said "why didn't you ask me to drain the spaghetti?" I usually do ask him but he was outside, so I will quote one of my favorite magnets..."I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you" - Ha!

So anyway, here is the video on the Rubber Cement Drizzle...hope you like it.

Have a great Thursday and thanks for stopping in!
