Marquee Card

Jan Tink is brilliant when it comes to techniques, and this one is awesome.  She calls it marvelous and magical, and I am calling it brilliant, how she comes up with brain can not wrap itself around it.  Once you do it, it is not that hard, but coming up with it...geesh, I don't know what is in that chocolate she says she is always eating but I want some.

This is one of the techniques that I will be teaching at my upcoming Technique Lovers Class.

Here is the card closed, well it was kinda coming open when I stood it up to take the picture...but believe me when you see it open you will know the difference.

Too Funny

So I was checking out my Twitter...Stampin' Up! was posting some fun pics of Halloween costumes, and I noticed my favorite band forever Ryan Shupe and the the Rubberband had posted a new video, and then it reminded me I didn't show you this one...this is my banjo boy Craig Miner (pictured here when they were in Mesa last year) Ryan shupe 060  He is so cute...he was at Convention again this year, helping Tonic Solfa sell CD's but he had a girl on his arm, so I was mature and ladylike and ignored him...ha!

Isn't that funny?  It looks like he is driving but I am sure he is in the back seat, and he must have a fun computer to do all that. I would love to be a fly on the van wall on one of their road trips...ok maybe just Diana sitting on Craig's lap for one of their road trips...oops, did I say that out loud?

I wanted to show one of the cards that I will be teaching at my next Technique Lover's Class, this is called an Easel card and it is similar to a card that I had on here before, but this one has a special fold, these are so cool and I am totally making more of them.

Trick or Treat

When I was designing the stair step card for September to Remember I had stamped and colored extra pumpkins and leaves, and well I couldn't let them go to waste, plus the main pumpkin kept looking at me with that big toothless grin saying "pleash, don't throw me in the trashth, put me, and my little friendsh too on a cardth, pleash!" So here he is.  I got the layout from a craft magazine a ways back.

Speaking of treat, I made the french dip sandwiches again tonight, as well as some smoky green beans, I am trying to make up for last week's crazy eat out fest. Ha!

Look how yummy?

French dip and smoked beans

I sent the pic to my BFF Tracy and she thought it was from the Deli, wow now that is a compliment.

Here is the green bean recipe:

Smoky Green Beans

5 slices hickory-smoked bacon, diced

2 - 14.5oz cans of green beans

1 sweet onion, diced

8 oz can tomato sauce

In a large skillet over medium heat, saute bacon and onion together for about 15 minutes, stirring often.  Add beans and their liquid; then stir in tomato sauce.  Reduce heat, cover and simmer for one hour.

Well that's all for now.

Have a great Thursday and thanks for stopping in!

So I have sensitive teeth and use a toothpaste that helps. Well recently they came out with a new kind in a fancy can and it is a foaming gel.  Well I'm game for something new so I bought it and have been using it.

Well let me tell know how when you use shaving gel and you put a small amount on your hand and rub it a bit and it gets bigger and bigger? How about when you go to the dentist and they have to make a pattern of your teeth so they put a bunch of cement in a mouth guard and squish it in there...then after they leave the stuff starts creeping out the back and getting into the back of your throat?  Well that is what this is like.

No matter how small a bit I squish on my brush and let me tell you it is kinda hard to squish just a little bit on there, I start to brush and it gets bigger and bigger, I have to basically brush my teeth with my face into the sink with my mouth open so the stuff can fall out, other wise it is going down my throat.  Now I read the can and it says " penetrates hard-to-reach areas"...well I don't think I really need to brush my esophagus do I?  I don't know...anyway, I will keep using it up, cause I am also frugal and will not be throwing it out, but I am gonna go back to their regular toothpaste after this is gone.

I wanted to share one of the cards from my Christmas Stamp a Stack, I got the idea from one of my friends Monica Lerma.  Somehow it looks blurry, but it is not, I am not sure if it is cause I put the Bride DSP in the background to take the picture or what?  Anyway...class attendees will be making 15 cards.  They will have 5 different cards to do and then make 3 of each one.

I have been jotting down notes at my desk and you all have to help remind me too.  November 3rd... "V" starts, and November 11, the CMA awards are on. Also sometime in November the movie "The Hangover" will be out to buy, and I am getting that the first day, and I am going to watch it with Jeff so I can see him laugh till he cries, (he has not seen it) I love watching and listening to Jeff laugh and this movie is so many wrong ways, but still it is funny!

Oh and who says I don't exercise?  I did 4 jumping jacks, 3 squats and 2 lunges this morning just so I could get my jeans on...ha! or maybe I should be saying boo!hoo!

Well that's it for me, have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in!

Artisan Christmas Swap

The other day after MAMMa and I were at the Trilogy crop we went over to the local craft store to pick up wire for our Top Note boxes, and well I am the biggest kid, and this was up near the front registers and he was on sale and too cute to pass up, and he looks ADORABLE with my candy bar.

This one was mine, I had done one a lot like it earlier.

So we watched Transformers - somethin' somethin' fallen.  I liked the first one better, to me this one was too confusing, and so much metal fighting it was hard to keep track of.

As I sit here typing this "PS I Love You" is on, I love this movie, I really should buy it so I can watch it whenever I want, cause it always seems to be on when I don't have time to watch it.  I don't know who I would pick (if I had to choose) her hubby Gerry, played by Gerard Butler or William played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan also know as Denny from Greys Anatomy.  They both have accents in the movie, and I love accents, when I first met my hubby Jeffrey Duane (that's close to Jeffrey Dean aint it?) he had an accent, it was Illinois/maybe a bit German too (since he had been in the army over in Germany for 3 years prior to us meeting), I don't know but it was definitely an accent, now I don't notice it, cause it is just his voice. Ok enough of my nonsense jabbering, I gotta hit the hay!

Have a great Tuesday, and thanks for stopping in.
