Easter Easel Box Tutorial
March 19, 2010
Before we get to the tutorial, I want to give a great big SHOUT OUT! to my two biggest fans in Alpena Michigan, let's here it for Denise & Kristen (crowd cheers!!!) They are teachers and will be starting March Break soon and I didn't want them to miss this cute tutorial, so this tute's for you girls! (sending ya big hugs!! and a mwah!!)
Here are the measurements, since it might have been hard to follow on the video.
The box or tray is 4" x 4" and then I scored it 1/2" on each side.
The Belly Band is 7 1/2" x 3", and it is scored at 3", 3 1/2", 6 1/2" and 7" (added since original post...sometimes the belly band is tight on the box/tray depending on what you score with, so you might need to score it and add a "dit" so the belly band is a teensy bit bigger then the box - just practice with scrap paper)
The Easel part is 6" x 3", and it is scored at 1 1/2" and 3"
The card that gets decorated and attached to the easel part is 3' x 3"
So what I did was just figure out how many turds raisin-ettes I wanted to put in the tray and then did my measuring from there. Here is the original post.
This is basically the same technique we used for the Top Note Desktop Drawer. So now you can make any size basically.
Well this old gal is headed to bed, our nephew Bobby has been visiting from Illinois, so today we fiddle farted around, I took him to the Deli for lunch and had a great time. I told him I am gonna kidnap him, adopt him and change his name to Philip. He is in the National Guard and will be going into active duty here soon so it has been nice having this week with him, he's a good "kid" and we are gonna miss him.
Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in!
