Tag You're It

DSCN2717 copy

I thought I would start showing you a few things the girls did at our September to Remember event. This actually was not one of them...ha! I just realized that when I saw the picture I grabbed to show. This was one of the tags I took over to MAMMa's when Rhonda, MAMMa and I were getting together to figure out the make n takes, we choose not to do this one.

I need to look on my computer for the picture of the one we did do that was similar yet different. Hmmm...now what file would it be in? Ha!

Have a great Thursday and thanks for stopping in!

Northern Hearts

DSCN2703 copy

Robin Merriman asked me a few  months ago to join her GoDivas, a special group of Demonstrators she has formed that swap once in a while.  We had a swap at convention and it was nice to meet a lot of the ladies as I had only met them through their swaps but not face to face.

I was bad and didn't join the last one, I knew with the Founder's swap and my classes, plus the September to Remember event, my plate was too full to take on anything else, so I said no, I know I will kick myself now as the girls start showing their cards, but I know I definitely won't say no to the next one.

So when I was getting cards ready for my Stamp a Stack of Christmas cards, I found this cute card, and it was not Christmas it was like a wedding card, but it was easy enough to change it, I just used a snowflake stamp and a Christmas greeting and voila' it's Christmas, everything else is identical.  So then I was like who was the artist behind this masterpiece, and I turned it over and it said hand stamped by Tara, and I was like OMG! no last name!!! No blog address!!! When did I get this swap? Was it at Linda's event? Was it from the GoDiva's? Did someone hand it to me?  Yowza, so I put on my Sherlock Holmes hat and I headed over to the Stampin' Connection, a great forum for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators only and I plugged in the name Tara, and I only know one Tara and that is THE Tara Bazata, so I added a "B" after Tara and there her pretty face was, and I clicked on it, and checked out her gallery, and there was the card.  Wow if only finding my Peach Parfait pad was that easy (I still don't know where it is).

So Tara thank you so much for the inspiration!! Everyone at class loved the card.

So today after brunch with MAMMa, Rhonda and Melissa, Rhonda, Mel and I shopped a bit, and then I ran some errands picked up a few things for my trip. I still have a few more things to get and then I can pack and be done. Right now I am washing the last of my clothes.

So my next bunch of days posts are gonna be sparse I will set them to go with cards and stuff, and then I will post from My Precious what has been happening while I am on vacation, I am so looking forward to going to my BFF's that I can't even think straight, it has been a couple years I think.  I hope this thin Arizona blood won't freeze up with the cold weather.

I'm gonna sign off and get my other posts set to go, tomorrow night I have to go to bed really early so I can get up early.

Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in!

Greeting Card Kids Christmas

DSCN2700 copy

This set is so stinkin' cute.  When I picked sets to use to demonstrate at Convention this one was on my must have list right away.

This is one of the cards the girls did at my Stamp a Stack of Christmas cards this weekend, and it uses the amazing Deck the Halls DSP too.

This card was stamped with Stazon and colored with ink pads and refills with a blender pen.  I was wondering when I look at the little girl's tights.  Are they tucked into the shoes or do they come down and cover the tops of the shoes?  I remember wearing tights as a kid, and some had that strap that went under your feet to keep them tight on your leg. I hated those things.

Remember the pajamas that had the feet? Then when you got too tall they still were in good shape, ya just cut the feet off so you almost had like long capri pajamas.  Heck as long as the butt flap lined up in the right spot who cared how high up the legs got right?

Now how I got talking about butt flaps when I am showing you this cute card I don't know, you could blame it on Tiffany Bauer, yep I see her now going "huh?"  Well she drank some Dr. Pepper at Founder's Circle and that used to be my favorite pop and I have not drank it in years, I got myself all weaned off of pop and only drink Root Beer now and then, but I thought I would have one too, and OMG! now that is all I want to drink, so I am probably all sugared up! Ha!

Enough blabbing, here's the rest of the card.

So tomorrow I meet up with Rhonda and Marlene, I have not seen them since I left for Founders and they had the September to Remember event without me, so it will be fun to see them.  Mel and Jenn are coming too, and then Mel and I are gonna do a little bit of shopping. I need to get a few things for my PA trip. It's gonna be a tad bit cooler there.

Well I am gonna sign off and say night night and you have an awesome Tuesday.  Thank you so much for stopping in!

FLICKs for August

DSCN2736 copy

How is it the main thing you go to the grocery store to get is the very thing you forget to get until you get home and are putting the groceries away. That is what happened today, and I was NOT going back to the store.  Sunday is not the day to get groceries, everyone was there...my gosh, the lines were terrible.

Tomorrow is my last round of Stamp a Stack of Christmas cards, and after class I have tons of errands to run for my upcoming trip to my BFF Tracy's in PA, so hopefully the girls will get done in time.  Today everyone got done in great time, so I am sure it will the same tomorrow.

I wanted to share the FLICKs (First Level Incentive Card Kits) card for August sales, I got these done later then I like to because I was at Founder's and when I got back home I needed to cut paper for classes, so I feel good they are done and hope the girls like them. They are off in the mail tomorrow.

I cased, and changed just a bit, a swap I got from my friend Robin Merriman, she does awesome stuff. Thanks Robin!!  What I did was to get the look of almost like pottery or something on the cardstock is I first inked up the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder with Crumb Cake Classic ink. Then you put your cardstock in the folder and run it through the Big Shot like normal and when it comes out it looks like this.

DSCN2737 copy
So cool eh? Doesn't it look like a piece of pottery or a porcelain plate or something? Very vintagey, and that is totally in.

Stamp Set: Artistic Etchings, Elizabeth

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler

Ink: Basic Black, Crumb Cake

Misc: Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, brayer, Basic Black 1/8" taffeta ribbon

So did you watch Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters? Tonight was the start of the new season.  They both look good. OMG! Carlos looks amazing he has lost a lot of weight...Hubba! Hubba!! I wondered how they would handle Rob Lowe leaving the Brothers and Sisters show so I think they did a good job of what they did.  I sure hope the show he went to is successful, would hate to see him leave and then the other show is a flop. Remember that red haired guy that left that cop show years ago and didn't his career go downhill for a few years? Now he is on Miami CSI or something.  Makes you wonder if it is their decision or like their manager...don't know why I am even wondering? ha!

Well as usual I am gonna say night night and try to get to bed before midnight!

Have a great Monday and thanks for stopping in!

Love Me Some Chunky

DSCN2727 copy

So I had my first round of Stamp a Stack of Christmas cards today, it was fun to see some new faces, and some faces I have not seen in a while.  I think the girls all loved the cards.  I have the class again tomorrow and Monday.  I will probably do another Christmas class before Christmas, not sure if it will be different cards or not...probably. But I am a woman and I love to change my mind...ask my hubby...the poor guy. Ha!

So while the girls were here today I was telling about an upcoming class I have and then I realized, wow it's coming up quick.  It will be not far after I get back from my BFF Tracy's in PA, so I was like yikes I need to get my class email out to let people know what is happening.

If you do not get my class email please sign up for it, especially if you are local to me, so you don't miss a class. You can sign up on the left where it says Sign Up for my Email newsletters there is a little box there, I tried to figure out how to put a link in here, and I can't.  I pretend to be computer saavy and I really am not.

So anywhere here is the frame that will be done in class, I tried to get a good picture of it but it looks better in real life.  I also chose to vintage it up by rubbing More Mustard ink on it, but that is totally up to you if you decide to do that.

DSCN2728 copy
There will be two other projects done at class. You will get a half a pack of Love Letter DSP, the Chunky Frame and a pack of vintage brads.

The frame looks like this before it is decorated. You can paint it a different color, you can use Decor Elements, Decor Stencils on it, you can cover it with DSP like I did, it looks nice with nothing done to it too. It is 12x12 and 1 1/2" thick.  The frame window is approx, 4x4. It is smooth painted MDF wood. The thickness allows you to stand it, or you can hang it too.

117599L

It is item #117599 and is $19.95 if you can't attend class and you want to pick up a couple dozen...did I say that out loud?

If you want to place an order, my on-line store is open 24-7.  Here's the link.  If you do place an order in my on-line store, make sure to check out the clearance rack while you are there, as that changes all the time, and also make sure to log in as a new customer even if you have ordered from me before. Thanks so much, I really appreciate it.

Well this old girl is gonna head to bed. Wanna be bright eyed and bushy tailed for class tomorrow.

Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping in!
