Am I a Teenager Again?

010 copy

Cause you would think by my complexion I am.  Zits here and there...ugh! Although I think it is cause of the heat and now once in a while I will wear foundation and my face is not used to that.

I watched some show and the girl was saying we (us woman folk) need to get dressed up, full make up and all even if we are just staying home, that way we feel better.  Well today I felt fine, I do feel that I am indeed getting a cold (ugh), but I didn't put make up on, and I didn't get dressed up all purty like.  It's too hot, plus I was not going anywhere.  The same show talked about us woman need to have the best bras and undies and the undergarments that help us look our best.  I checked out the over 100 degree temperature and I thought, do I want to wear a fancy bra and then a girdlie thing to hide my muffin top and then clothes on top of that?  I am sure I would look better, but wouldn't the beads of sweat dripping down my face washing off my makeup kinda make all that work useless?  Just wondering? I wonder where this girl who was giving all the rules of how we women should present ourselves lives, cause I doubt it was Arizona.

At convention I swapped with the fabulous most talented cutie patootie Carrie "Artistic Avenger" Gaskin and I knew I wanted to do her card for my catalog kick off party.  I changed the greeting and put snowflakes on the Lucky Limeade cardstock but basically it is her card, and everyone loved it. Thanks Carrie!!

I just love the little mini silver brads, they are adorable, and the perfect size.

Today I worked on my July on-line order thank you cards and I will show you those in a day or so. There is still a few days to get your own.  I send a thank you card to everyone that places an on-line order with me each month.  It's nice when I hear back that you liked the card. I always put a post it note inside instead of writing in it, that way the card can be used again. When placing an online order, please don't forget my Country Dozen Rewards, for every $40.00 before tax and shipping you earn one egg!!

Today I painted up and aged the window frame I found at the antique place, I picked the one with the fun window latch thing and the side that was painted meant when I put the DSP in the window pane you wouldn't see the latch so I had to paint the other side, I just used some of the paint I had on hand and the glaze and shabby'ed it up.  I wanna use Beau Chateau as the DSP in it.  Jeff was trying to figure out how to hang it.

Well I have some envelopes to address, so I better sign off.

Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks so much for stopping in.

Mimeograph Monday - House & Home

012 copy

I had my stamp club girls over today and it was great to see them, some of them even were here yesterday for my catalog kick off too.  What a bunch of great gals.  I will show you the cards they did in the next day or so.

Mimeograph Monday is back! Did you miss it?  I did, and with the brand new catalog full of amazing samples to copy, this year is going to be a breeze.

Do you have the new catalog?  If you don't, let me know and I can send you one.  The postage and handling is $6.00 and the catalog is my free gift to you, I can send you the paypal link. Ask me how you can get one for free.

So this has to be one of my favorite sets (that is solid anyway). It is called House & Home and I love the vintage look of it and I so want to make a framed art piece for my laundry room. I don't know why I like the ironing board image so much cause really I hate to iron and I am really bad at it. In fact I think after I iron, the clothes have worse wrinkles then they did before.

Stamp Set: House & Home, Petite Pairs

Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Domestic Goddess DSO

Ink: Poppy Parade, Pool Party pads, Basic Black Marker

Misc: White Bakers Twine, Sewing machine, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder

013 copy

What? Yeah I actually used the sewing machine, it is nice it has its spot in my remodeled studio, I should use it more often. I am not super good at it (almost as bad as the iron), and in fact I have it set wrong, when I went to pull the card away after sewing, the bobbin dealie is so tough it didn't want to move, so I have to figure that out.  Luckily I didn't tear the card all to heck.

Well I gotta get to cleaning up from today and stamp the cards for the girls that couldn't make it today. I have DSP shares to go out tomorrow and USPS updated their system and they are having issues. Hmmm...looks like a trip to the PO if it doesn't get fixed tonight.

Have an awesome Monday and thanks for stopping in.

Tulips Beyond the Garden

044 copy

Today I had my Catalog Kick Off Party and it was great seeing everyone.  I think all the girls headed out to see Fiji before they left, she loved the attention.  I need to take some more pictures of her as she has grown a bit.

While I am typing this the movie "Dinner for Schmucks" is on.  I am very undecided if I like it or not, I keep waiting for the dinner to happen and so far, no dinner.  I did like the beginning though when they showed the little mouse scenes.  I think that if they ever re-do a movie that Jerry Lewis was in, you know when he was the Nutty Professor (although I know they redid that one) but that wacky character, I think that Steve Carrell would be awesome in the role.

Here is another display card I did using the Raining Flowers stamp set.

043 copy
Stamp Set: Raining Flowers

Paper: Whisper White, Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi, Beyone the Garden DSP

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Sahara Sand, Wild Wasabi

Misc: Circle punches, scallop circle punch, white satin ribbon, pinking hearts border punch, vintage wallpaper embossing folder

Well I better sign off and get ready for Stamp Club tomorrow.

Have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping in.

Wisteria Wonder Box

059 copy

Have you seen the movie Inception?  I had it on while I was working today and I guess it's one of those you have to sit and watch, cause it didn't make a whole lot of sense when I was not totally paying attention. At first I thought it was like The Time Travelers Wife, which was such a good book, and pretty good movie, they did change it a bit. But Inception, I don't know if I want to take the time to sit and watch it from start to finish. Do I?

I have my catalog kick off party tomorrow so I am getting stuff ready for that.

I wanted to show you another one of my display samples.  This uses the new set "Raining Flowers" and I will admit when I got it I thought oh my gosh this set is ugly (I mean we can't love em all right?).  You know me I much prefer to color, so this one with mostly solid images was not my cup of tea.  I did however manage to come up with some cute samples I think.

057 copy
This uses Bitty Box & Envelope die and I did it in Wisteria Wonder textured paper that really made it look expensive.

Stamp Set: Raining Flowers, Tiny Tags

Ink: Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum (I think - I really need to write stuff down)

Paper: Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder Textured paper

Misc: White taffetta, Basic Rhinestone, Jewelry tag punch, Bitty Box & Envelope die

Wouldn't this be nice to give with some chocolate in it?

I want to say a quick "Welcome" to Valna-Rue a new Demonstrator who joined my team.  She picked a great time to join with the kit only being $99.00 and my little goodie bag incentive.  That means I only have three left. Are you ready to join my Di's Country INKers?

Well I better not chit chat too much, I still have to tidy up for tomorrow.

If you want to place an order for any of the Stampin' Up! products shown on my blog, my on-line store is open 24-7.  Please don't forget about my Country Dozen Rewards.

Have an awesome Saturday and thanks for dropping in.

Ugh...

018 copy

...I think I might be getting sick.  I have a bit of a sore throat and feel warm, although it's danged hot in Arizona so not sure on that part. If I am, I am glad it waited till I got back from convention.  I hope I am not though.  I did take some cold medicine so hopefully that will nip it in the bud. Now I am tired though, so I'll post quick and go to bed.

I was so busy today, but yet I look around and still see tons to do before Saturday.

Jeff put up the second fan tonight and I had to paint a bit around them as the bases on these are smaller then the other ones. They look so pretty, they are all white, the other ones had gold on them and I am not a gold person.

I had to run to the grocery store tonight I was making cornish hens and needed a few things, and while I was there I picked up some Chester Cheese Cheese Puffs, and they are Honey BBQ...oh my gosh, this is not good...they are crazy delicious I probably ate half the bag while I got supper ready.  How am I ever gonna lose weight?  Jiminy Christmas.

So speaking about food, here is another of my display cards, this one uses the cupcake in the Easy Events set that we got at convention.

017 copy
I'm gonna guess on my colors since I don't have the card to look at anymore and I always forget to take notes when I am doing them.

Stamp Set: Easy Events

Paper: Just Add Cake DSP, Poppy Parade, Baja Breeze, Watercolor Paper

Ink: Jetblack Stazon, Poppy Parade, Wild Wasabi, Poppy Parade, Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand

Misc: Mini Brads, Poppy Parade stitched ribbon

This was a fun set to work with, cause I love to color...did you know that?   I have a 7 page PDF tutorial available if you want to learn how I watercolor.  You can see the post here.

Well I better be hitting the hay, cross your fingers the cold just goes away and does not come. I have no time to be sick. Does anybody really?

Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in.
