Fall Fest Part Four

003 copy

Today I had a Doc appt with my regular Doc, the Eurologist said to do that. Everything went great, I have to go back next month for my well woman exam and all that fun stuff.  Later this week I have to go the Eurologist for a follow up with him. It's all the way into Phoenix, so I am going to pick Jeff up at work and he will drive the rest of the way. I don't do Phoenix. Those streets scare me with traffic, and the wrong ways and right ways streets and this way only certain times of the day. What? Huh? Crash! So I don't do it. As MAMMa says I stay in (or drive in) my bubble.

So after my appointment I ran some errands and got my butt back home, it has been so hot and miserable.

I wanted to show you another project everyone did at Fall Fest last weekend.  I love this DSP (of course eh?) This is the cute little Petite Pocket die, it is new this year. We decorated the envelopes and then made little inserts to go inside.

005 copy favorite, the chicken one, I tucked a piece of the chicken wire paper underneath...

006 copy can see it here, added a little pearl to snazz it up!

I had to go get more chicken feed today while I was out.  Fiji was almost all out and she eats different stuff then the big girls, I think that once this bag is over she will be eating the same.  She is getting so big, Gina was over the other day (Fiji showed up at her house and that is where we got her), she couldn't get over how big she has gotten, or how I could pick her up and hold her.  She is a love.

Don't forget today is the last day to order out of the Summer Mini catalog, and it is also the last day to buy three DSP, and get one for free.

I better say night night so I can get up ready for another busy day tomorrow!

Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in.

Clean & Simple August Thank You Card

010 copy

I love this set so much and I also love the little postage date stamp as well, I think I would love a whole stamp set with little things like that, don't you?  Anytime you have an idea of something you would like Stampin' Up! to sell, please let them know. I do, all the time, and you know what? Some things we now sell, and some are coming September 1, like the new Simply Scored and I am so excited to show you that.

But for now I was busy today putting away Fall Fest stuff, sorting swaps, making bonus cards, and I also made up my thank you cards for on-line orders for August. I kept it clean and simple.  Gotta love that! I still have to do my FLICKs cards, get started on my Founder's Circle swap (125 of those babies), I did get it designed though. I still have two classes to design too, all before I leave for Canada in a week.  Yowza!!

009 copy
It's a little bit like my swap card for convention, I just changed some colors.

Stamp Set: Established Elegance, French Foliage

Paper: Whisper White Note Cards

Ink: Pool Party, Basic Black, Riding Hood Red

There is still time to get your own thank you card for August and don't forget about the DSP sale too, that ends August 31. I send thank you cards out each month for online orders placed through my store, I love seeing my repeat customers placing orders, and I hope getting that thank you card makes them feel as special as they make me feel.

I am going to go to yesterday's post and list the supplies for the portfolio, I totally forgot.

Have an awesome Tuesday, and thanks for stopping in.

Fall Fest Part Three

Fall Fest 2011 Portfolio 004 copy

One of the fun things we did was a card portfolio and 4 cards with envelopes to go inside.  We have not done the portfolio at an event, but I remember doing them at classes years ago and it is one of those things you kind of forget about so when we were going to use the Beau Notes this was too cute not to do. I think everyone loved it.

My fellow Artisan award winner (when we won a few years back) Fran Sabad made some adorable cards and projects this year for her demonstration at convention, so most of these are copied or inspired by her, thanks Fran, I'm bowing to ya honey!

Here's the portfolio cover.

Fall Fest 2011 Portfolio 001 copy
Here it is open, it is so easy to make you take a 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock and you score it at 5 1/2" on the 11" side, then turn it and score it 2" on the 8 1/2" side, fold this up and you will see you cut it in the center a bit so the two folded edges don't crease over each other when you close it.  Keep the 2" folded piece that the cards go in attached to the portfolio with a few dimensionals this will give the cards and envelopes some room, only put the dimensionals on the outside edge, the center is not glued.

Then we made 4 cards to go inside.

Fall Fest Part Two

I will be quick with my post, but if a picture is worth a thousand words this might be the longest one ever! I am whooped after a fun filled busy day, and I have stamp club tomorrow, so I am going to show you all the pretty faces that stamped with us today, and I missed at least one table and I am sorry, Rhonda was telling them stuff so I didn't want to interupt and I forgot to go back and didn't realize it till I was looking at my pictures.

Setting up the room, we had a sold out house, we usually only take up half the room, but this time we needed the whole room.

We did a name tag contest this time, and everyone got a pink ticket that said "I Love Your Name Tag" that way everyone voted so throughout the day people would check out name tags and when they found the one they liked the best they gave that person their ticket.

Here's the winning name tag,

Here she is showing off her new stamp set...well sorta new, we order a few extra sets to use at the borrow table so if people don't have them they can use them that day, and then we door prize them off. So it's new at the beginning of the day at least.

As usual I was behind the camera not in no pics of moi...ha! Although I think I saw my reflection in the mirror in one, proves I'm not a vampire eh?

Well I have stamp club tomorrow...I know, I know, what? I wasn't really thinking when I planned it, but they are fun girls and I am sure they won't mind a few messy tables when they come to pick up their orders and make their make n takes.

Have a blessed Sunday, I will show the make n takes from Fall Fest over the next few days...this old gal is off to slumber!

Thanks for stopping in!

Well I am so excited for tomorrow, Fall Fest is here! Yay!  That means I am going to bed early, well by 10pm it will take me a bit to wind myself down, I'll read a bit.  But gotta get up early to load up and get on the road to set up.  I'll share pictures after the event. Note to self....take camera.

Here's another quick card that I did for displays for convention.

I based this card on one I did like it using the SAB set called Bliss.

026 copy

Geesh this is a quick post, but I better re-check that I got everything packed for tomorrow.

If you are one of the registered guests for Fall Fest, I'll see you tomorrow, if you are not registered make sure to sign up for my email newsletters (off to the left you can do that) and then you will be notified for my upcoming classes, specials and the next big event "Spring Fling" in February.
