Founder's Circle 2011 Day One

I got up bright and early so that Jeff could take me to the airport on the way to work.  As I sat there waiting to board my plane I could not help to think...didn't I just do this airport thing?

Once I got to Salt Lake City, I walked over to the other gate where I would get my connecting flight to St. George.  Some of my friends were already there waiting.  I was so glad that this year it was a jet and not the prop-plane, that was a rocky flight last year, but this year it was great.

Look at the cute door hanger, oh my gosh isn't it going to look adorable in my studio?  As soon as I saw the theme "Tea Party" I thought shabby chic, teacups, doilies things like that...so cute.

Here's my room, and I think it is pretty close to being the same room as last year, I need to see if I have it written down somewhere.  But I love having my own room and all the space to spread out.

Last year we all had scarves of different colors and we had to find the colors that matched and that was our table mates. This year we had a name on our name tags, so it actually meant asking people instead of just seeing their scarf.  My group is "The Brits"  ....seems I should be talking differently "cherrio, blimey dahling"!  So once we found our group we all had to go together to get our gift. It was a package of the Beau Notes. I love those!

At dinner our place settings were gorgeous tea cups with roses in them.  All the teacups on the table were different. They could not have picked a better one for me.

After dinner it was time to head back to my room, I wanted to get my pajamas on and relax, I am not going to set the alarm I am just going to get up whenever. We have an easy day tomorrow, make n takes whenever we want to do them, there is a shuttle to take us shopping and Meg and I are going to do that. We have the Tea Party and Pajama party tomorrow night. I'll have to iron my pajamas.

Oh and wanna see what was on my bed? No? OK...oh wait someone in the back raised their hand...here ya go...

Eating my way across Ontario

I wasn't really, although my friend Amir said it looked like that as Jacqui posted food pics on Facebook, but you know how it is...ya gotta eat and when you go back home you want your old die hard food.

I was good and only had one Tim Horton's Iced Cap compared to one a day like other trips.  We tried out a place in Markham called Frankie Tomatto's and it was delicious, it was an Italian buffet.

I also wanted my poutine so we stopped off in Jacqui's old town of Woodstock on the way home from Markham and got us some at Fritzie's...

010 copy
...fries, brown gravy and cheese curds, life can't get any better....oh and also...

012 copy
...regular fries with vinegar. Yummm!!!!

For breakfast we had stopped at Cora's, this was a new place for me, Jacqui said they had crepes and I wanted to try one to compare with the ones I make.

007 copy
Mine was raspberry, filled with cream cheese, and a sauce and then icing sugar, after it came I realized this was not too smart for breakfast, as it was super sweet.

006 copy
Joel got fruit and dip, and then an egg with toast. - Yeah eat healthy ya skinny youngun!!

005 copy
Jade got a healthy helping of lots of goodness.

004 copy
Jacqui got eggs benedict and stuff.  All the meals were enough for two people and the place was packed, it is just open for breakfast and lunch.

I went and got my crown fixed today, I guess I thought they would just repair it and I would be on my merry way, so I took Jeff with me cause we were gonna go to the Deli after (I had picked up some Kraft Crunchy Peanut butter for our favorite waiter and waitress at the Deli - a brother and sister from Canada...that is what they requested when I asked). Well my appointment took two hours as they actually totally removed it and drilled some and added a new one...poor Jeff, he walked around Home Depot a bit and wasted time.

I made sure to take a break and watched the season finale of True Blood on HBOGo, oh my it was a good one.

Then I had to pack.  Can't wait to see all my fellow Founder's Circle girls, will be getting up bright and early tomorrow to head to Utah, the guys will be bachelor-ing it again this week.  Think they'll miss me or just get sick of my travels?

I'll post once I get to St. George. If you have sent me an email give me a few days to catch up, I'll try to answer from St. George, I had no time before I left.

Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in.

Luckily I got them all done before I left for Canada, so they are ready to be packed. I just got to do laundry, repack, cut paper for my GoDiva swap, go get crown fixed, and any other last minute stuff before I head back to the airport to head to Founder's Circle on Wednesday...I thought yesterday I was a zombie...

I'm So Tired...

...sing it like Madeline Kahn in Blazing Saddles...boy you would think I had to get ready for the wedding.  My eyes are drooping today, I don't think I have gone to bed before midnight since I got home, I haven't been home in so long there is lots of catching up to do. Last night it was 2:45am!  Yowza! I'm gonna sleep my first day at Founder's Circle...ha! So tonight, I'll post a quick picture of something odd I saw at the grocery store the other day...took me a minute to realize what it was, then I was like oh I gotta take a picture.

025

Can you see what it is? Ha!  Maybe it'll be on sale next week?

I head home tomorrow, the guys (and the girls) are ready for me to come back, Eric has called a couple times today. Think he misses me? In fact he called tonight to tell me that I could bring my two girls home as he would not come get me with Dad...I think he thinks I am at convention, as we usually take MAMMa home and this year we took Donna home too.  I told Eric that it was just me so he could come with Dad.

Have an awesome Monday and thanks for stopping in. Oh don't forget today is the last day for Double Country Dozen Rewards.

Hugs,

Di - on location one last night in Parkhill, Ontario Canada
