Rainbow of Colors

015 copy

I thought I would try some different colors and add another layer from the card I posted the other day. This one was neat with Pool Party and Concord Crush (I love these colors together).

Stamp Set: Field Flowers, Hello Doily

Paper: Very Vanilla, Pool Party

Ink: Pool Party, Concord Crush

Then I thought what if I do the stem a different color?

So I pulled out Lucky Limeade and switched the flowers to Island Indigo, I love this color combination too.

This is just such a fun and easy layout and I love love love the Hello Doily, you can put that behind anything.

When we had Eric's IEP last week his support coordinator suggested we get him speech therapy again, it will help him at work and everywhere, we just usually figure out what he is saying cause we know him.  He had speech therapy years ago but then could never find anyone that would come out here, and didn't have any luck with the people that were doing it, they would not show up and were unreliable, so it just stopped. We needed to get a Prescription for it so Eric had a Doc appointment after work.  The Doctor kept us waiting almost an hour after his appointment time and Eric is not a person who likes to wait, but once the Doctor got in there he was all smiles, so that is good.  The Doctor wants Eric to see a audiologist, although I think his hearing is fine, in fact I will talk to Jeff in the other room and Eric will hear and say stuff about what we are saying.  So it should be interesting for his hearing test, as he can not answer words properly.  When he was little they put him in the glass cube and things moved around and then he would turn in that direction, I just don't know how accurate the test will be. The Doc said it would take him a week to write up the RX. I guess they are different then for medicine. Can you imagine if that is how medicine RX's were.  "You have strep, I'll write you a RX in a week".

Don't forget you only have till October 31 to have a chance at a free stamp set. This is something I am doing only and not Stampin' Up!

Well I better head to bed.  Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in.

Kanab Photo
Here we all are at Kanab in the park that has all the extra rubber from our stamps on the floor of the play area. It is so cool and so bouncy. Did you find me in the picture? It's like Where's Waldo Di?

Here's a fun picture of myself and some sweet friends at the park.

Mimeograph Monday - Cover Girl

003 copy

Today was fun, I met my friend Melissa (Hi Mel!) and we spent our Gelato Groupon, we ran errands in Joannes, and I also ran into a friend of mine that I have not seen in a while, Hi Sheri! Then I had to go to Price Club, I have been needing to go for a while and boy it doesn't take long to spend over a hundred bucks eh?

Then back home for supper, and then to watch "Once Upon a Time" Did you watch it?  That was good eh?  It is neat how they have the characters intermingled, and love how we guess who they are now. I can't wait till next week, but before then we have "Revenge" on Wednesday and then "Grimm" debutes on Friday, that looks good too.

Since I missed my Mimeograph Monday card last week I was determined not to this week.  So I didn't have to look very far for a card to copy...this comes right off the cover of this year's Idea Book & Catalog.

I love all the layers, and the textures.

Happy Birthday BFF!

013 copy

Another birthday today, but this one I can't celebrate...well I can, but it's not the same when the birthday girl lives in another state. This is a picture when I was back in PA last year, we were farting around taking some fun pictures.  Good memories, good times! Eh Trac?

Tracy & I
My BFF turns 29...again...today!  I love you and miss you and can't wait till you get here in February, I hope my face clears up by then, that facial sure made a mess of my face, geesh.  Jeff said "that'll teach you".

We took Eric to supper at Famous Dave's BBQ, the food is so good and look at the fun birthday dessert. Eric was so tired, he spent the day at Amazing Jakes, so he didn't even eat his dinner, he boxed it up to eat it later, but the dessert put a smile on his face. We were teasing him it was all a trick to burn his beard off, but he didn't fall for it.

Cool eh? Oh another thing that makes him smile...

010 copy
Shopping for Wii game stuff. He likes these Spylander or something things, and he wanted a few more, so we headed over to Best Buy afterwards, and good thing, Green Lantern is out and Jeff wanted it so he waited in the car and I surprised him with it.

I had stamp club today and the girls made a few cards, one of them was this one that I cased from Becky Roberts' swap from Founder's Circle.  Love it Becky and love you too!

012 copy
Stamp Set: Hello Doily, Field Flowers

Paper: Whisper White

Ink: Early Espresso, Certainly Celery

Misc: Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder

Isn't that a gorgeous and simple card?

The saying is perfect for Tracy's birthday. "My thoughts are happiest when you're in them" and that is true.

Well I better sign off and head to bed, we just finished watching The Green Lantern, it has one of my favorite actors in it...the handsome hunky Ryan Reynolds, maybe you remember this fun picture my friend and photoshop extroidonaire Russ Jones did. It looks so real doesn't it? It's really Russ in front of me and he put Ryan's face there.  Oh a woman can dream eh?

Ryan Reynolds

Have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping in.

OMG! How Can He Be 23?

Yes, Eric turns 23 today, what the heck? Geesh I was 23 when I had him.

It does not seem that long ago that he was:

Eric baby

 a baby...

Eric
...and then a little boy...

001 copy
...so I said "Eric let me take your picture for my blog" and this is the look I got. He was getting his shoes on to go to the football game with his Dad.

So Jeff said "smile Eric or we won't go"

002 copy
So this is better, look at that danged beard, he won't shave it, we think he wants to be Dumbledore. At least we got him to shave the sides of his face. Happy Birthday Hairy, I mean Eric.  We love you!

004 copy
So the guys went outside and I said "hey let me take a picture of you together" Aren't my two men handsome? Cause Eric ain't a baby or a little boy anymore. Although he will be to me.  We had his yearly IEP the other day, and one of our goals is to get him where he can move into a group home. If you are new to my blog, Eric is learning disabled and he also has apraxia so he won't be able to live by himself.  So whenever we talk about him moving out, I get excited sometimes only cause I think , wow that means the guest bathroom will stay cleaner longer than a few hours, or I'll get up and all the left overs in the fridge will not be eaten all up, or I'll look in the freezer and not find empty ice cream bar boxes, but then I also think, oh my gosh, what if someone takes advantage of him, what if someone hurts him, and I get so scared, and think...well maybe pee on the toilet seat is not that bad...well unless I sit in it....ewwww grossss.....but you know what I mean.  I guess all Mother's go through it, but with Eric he trusts everybody, and even though we try to teach him to be cautious he still thinks he is invinsible.

OK enough of my blabbering and blubbering.

Wanna hear something funny?  So the guys are at the football game I ran over to Kohls and Steinmart to pick the guys up some clothes and I figured I'd go through the McDonalds drive thru.  It is starting to get dark so I pull in and stop at what I think is the speaker dealie, and I almost....almost started to give my order...to the garbage can.  Thank goodness I noticed it was not lit up and the menu was up further or I swear I would have shouted into it.  Hello, Hello.....

Well I am gonna sign off and head to bed, I have stamp club tomorrow.

Have an awesome Saturday and thanks for stopping in.
