Here Piggy, Pig, Pig

012 copy

The blog title post is a little tease to my sister Jacqui who got me hooked on the tv show American Horror Story, (there was a pig episode) I got them all watched and I am all up to date and she still has one to see...how funny eh?

I also feel a little piggy after today, I ate too much, but I am determined to lose weight, I know you probably get sick of hearing me talk about it, I started back on my pilates which a few years ago worked for me...now I was younger then and I know it is going to be harder to get the weight off now, but it has to be better than nothing.

I was zipping the TV around tonight, and saw they were roasting Charlie Sheen, and I remember watching roasts years ago with Dean Martin and stars like that...holy moly these have come a long way, it seems people are getting teased about anything, things that really are not funny.  I did laugh and it seemed like the funniest people I had no clue who they were.  In fact one guy Steve O, who said that he has been clean for 3 years or something wanted to get a black eye from Mike Tyson, so he ran into Mike's fist, he missed and it hit his forehead. Then as the show ended he wanted to try again, this time it broke his nose and blood was all over his teeth...I am thinking, this guy is clean and sober? What the heck was he like when he was not?  Maybe I should have watched the Lady Gaga Thanksgiving special? Ha!

I'm gonna be quick after all that blabbering, this is another of the fun shoebox cards from Rhonda's meeting, this one is by the uber talented Kathya Hidalgo, one of my Demonstrators.  Love the embossed pig Kathya!!

Don't forget Button Buddies is the Free Stamp Set of the Month.

I better sign off and get to bed, Jeff has the next week off and I asked him if we could walk in the mornings and he said yes...so I have to get my butt out of bed...he is a much earlier riser than I am.

If you are one of the shoppers that actually get out into the stores, be careful and have fun. If you prefer to shop at home in your jammies, where there is no pushing and shoving, no fighting for a parking spot, while you sip on your morning coffee, don't forget the awesome Online Extravaganza is still going on!

Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in.

Wisteria Wonder

006 copy

Almost sounds like a Desperate Housewives episode eh? I am gonna be quick with my post, I have to get up early in the morning and get the turkey breast in the oven.  I made a couple pumpkin pies tonight...in fact I am eating a piece right now with cool whip (the only way to eat pumpkin pie)...just to make sure it will be ok for anyone else to eat it...the results?  Delicious (I think it's the fresh eggs!!)

I got this card from Alison Solven at Founder's Circle (Thanks! Alison, I love it) so I wanted to do it for stamp club this weekend.  I tweaked it just a bit.

I love the row of pearls on the crown.

If you have never done the Polished Stone technique, I did a tutorial a couple years ago, so you can see how easy it is. I would wear a pair of gloves to keep the refill from staining your fingers.

I was looking forward to watching Grey's Anatomy Thursday night but seems Lada Gaga is going to have a Thanksgiving special...ok, that has me scratching my head.

I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving, I hope you are spending some time with your family and or friends and if you can't, give them a call.

I am very thankful for my dear family and friends, and for you, my sweet reader who stops in every day, it means a lot to me.

Thanks for stopping in...gobble!gobble! (hey, I couldn't resist!)

Cute Booties

003 copy

A big thank you (said sarcastically) to my little sister Jacqui, Jax for short (I love you and miss you!), she had to comment about some TV show and that made me go check it out, she said it was creepy spooky and I thought ewww I won't like that, so what did I do?  I went and watched the first episode online and I was hooked.

Have you watched American Horror Story?  It is just intriquing and weird, and since it is on TV it does not scare me as bad as like a movie in the theater would so that is why I think I am ok with it. It is cool seeing actors from other shows I watch, True Blood, Modern Family, just to name a few. I am all caught up I think except for episode two which was on not on the FX online place.  It stars Jessica Lange and she is such an awesome actress.

I wanted to show you one of the cards from my Stitched Stockings class from a few weeks ago, I loved the whole idea of using the stockings other ways, we did a tradional Christmas stocking card, the little hobby horse card and then the baby booties.

I love the Simply Sent card kits, these used the Everyday Elegance ones #122377. The bottom is already punched and scalloped, you just have to use a paper piercer to push out the little pieces, makes for some fun confetti on your table. We used the Baja Breeze cards, although the packs come with Cherry Cobbler too, I'll use those for something else.

The little decorative punched piece the greeting is on, comes in the Simply Sent kit. Cool eh?

Well I'm gonna sign off, that danged show is coming on TV and I think it will be last weeks episode so I will be caught up for tomorrow...thanks Jax!! ha!

Live with Kelly

003 copy

So Regis retired and since we were at Breaking Dawn I missed his last show...I did not watch the show regularily but I thought that one would have been good, I'll have to YouTube it.  I did turn it on quick today to see Kelly and she had Seinfeld on there with her.  I think that would be fun to co-host with her, so if she's reading...ha! ha! give me a call!!!

Are you enjoying the Online Extravaganza? What awesomne deals eh? Thanks to everyone for placing your orders I really appreciate it.  I need to work on my on-line order thank you cards.

I went to Rhonda's (hey sweetie) shoebox swap earlier in the month so I thought I would share some of those cards. Today's card was designed by Elizabeth Martinez. I loved making the ornament punch into 3-D by glueing a few together.

002 copy
If you are not sure what I mean by a shoebox swap, it is where you design a card, and then you take supplies to make a certain amount of cards, then you pass the shoebox around and everyone gets to make your card. Neat eh?
