Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in.
It's hard to believe that August is almost over, yikes this year is flying by, the only thing good about that is the last Twilight movie is around the corner! Yay!!
I wanted to show another card from Fall Fest. This was a fun quick one and used the Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP as well as the new 1/4" scallop circle punch and the fun googly eyes.
I love how when you cover the little cobweb up in the one O it looks like the eye is veiny...extra scary eh?
Misc: Googlies, 1 1/4" scallop punch, 1" punch, 3/4" punch, Basic Black Scallop Dots Ribbon (that is used behind the DSP strip to looks like a scallop punch) - brilliant, I know...ha!
Do you watch American Horror Story? It is starting soon and it looks like it is going to be way different. Some of the same cast playing different people? Hmmm...I need to read up on it more, I wondered when I saw the main lady character going to be in a new series, but then I think she was a ghost at the end of the American Horror Story season right?
Well this old chick is off to bed.
Have an awesome Thursday and thanks for stopping in.
I showed you the Christmas ornament with craft box that everyone made at Fall Fest the other day, this also uses the craft boxes in a different way.
Everyone also got half a pack of the Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP to use and this was a perfect little gift.
We didn't close the box but instead made the lid stay up like almost a display kinda box, which was perfect to store the 4 little note cards inside.
They did two of these.
And these two too.
Put in one of our new gusseted cello bags and voila a fun gift box.
I love the Perfectly Preserved set and the new Framelits Dies that match and I love that Stampin' Up! has bundled them together if you want to save some money. If you do that item number is #129943 for wood and #129944 for clear.
Have you seen the show The Incredible Dr. Pol? I had never seen it but Jeff had it on and I am hooked I am totally going to make sure to watch it when it comes on, heck at one point, when he was castrating a horse the blood squirted towards the camera and I ducked, I actually thought it hit me..ha! Oh my gosh and then after he does all that yucky stinky work and I am sure he cleans himself the best he can in the field but still he has to get in his car and drive off, I am thinking how bad that car must smell, and when he trades it in what poor person might buy that car not knowing how bad it has reaked...
Well this old gal is off to bed, have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in.
Not sure if it is me or what, but Typepad seems to be acting up lately. It does not like to center and I get these lines in places. They don't end up showing in the end but they sure get in the way while I am typing. Do you use Typepad? Do you get that too?
I wanted to share another make n take from Fall Fest. This was a pretty card using the lattice die. I saw a card I think from Leadership maybe? on display and used this technique. You basically cut out the lattice die, but instead of throwing away the cardstock the die come out of, you lay the die back in the hole.
We put some of the Festival of Prints DSP behind it. Before you put the lattice back in the hole use dimensionals cut thin, or I just rolled glue dots with the tip of my paper snips to make them into balls the they fit behind to make the lattice have dimension on the card. Cool eh? I think everyone liked it.
Paper: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Festival of Prints DSP
Pretty much everyone said they loved the day and prefered that we did more cards and less 3-D items. So that was nice to hear.
Not sure if I shared this little video or not, but the little tune is fun to listen to too.
Well I am still trying to catch up on my sleep I think. I was busy today getting my next few classes, my GoDiva swap and Founders Circle swap figured out and supplies ordered. I think this old gal is going to bed early.
Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks for stopping in.
I totally forgot to post Happy Birthday to my Mum on Saturday. I had emailed her as I headed to Fall Fest cause I knew I wouldn't have time to call, but I didn't put it on my blog...bad Di. My sister Jax asked me if the picture of me in the box was me shipping myself to my Mum...now that would have been perfect.
Happy Birthday Mum, I am sorry I am late posting it on my blog, I hope it was the best ever. I love you and miss you!
