My sweet and talented friend Valerie Brotton emailed me a Halloween card with punch owl creatures and I had to do one too (thanks Val, it only took me hours....but many fun hours) I changed mine up a bit, it has been a long time since I have made a scene card and I had to work up a story, it has been a while since a put a story to a card too.  Remember my reindeer story?

Once upon a time Larry, Darryl and his other brother Darryl came home from school to get ready to go trick or treating. Larry and Darryl had been working for weeks on their costumes, but Darryl liked to play video games and laughed at Larry and Darryl wasting all their time.

So once Darryl started getting on his Mummy costume Darryl got a little worried.

Look at all the details, the Mummy has ripped sheets, the blood shot eyes, Darryl was going to get lots of candy tonight.

Then when Darryl saw Larry getting on his Frankenstein costume he was even more sad that he had spent so much time playing games instead of getting his costume ready.

Happy H'Owl-oween 005 copy
Look at these fun details, Frankie has been zapped with electricity so much one eye is bigger than the other, and you remember that the lady Frankie loved fell in love with Dr. Frankenstein, so it left Frankie with a broken heart. Lucky Larry still had his Three Stooges Mo wig from the year before and it worked perfect for his costume.

Then Darryl thought I'll be a ghost, that is easy. BUT Mum had all the sheets in the wash and all that was left was the one off his bed with the green chevron on it.

He couldn't even find mathing shoes in his messy room. But Larry and Darryl loved Darryl so much they told him he looked like a Charlie Brown ghost, so that made Darryl very happy. He was even more happy that they shared their candy with him too, cause he was all bummed out that everyone thought he was an Easter egg. I think Darryl will put more thought into his costume next year, don't you?

The scene was fun to do, I cut up some cardstock to make it look like grass and used the stamp set Toxic Treats and Wicked Cool to add some fun on the back of the card. A circle punch with a smaller circle punch out of it makes a funky moon.

What fun, I had one of Granny's doilies she made in black to set it on.

Wow yesterday was fun with the 15% off sale wasn't it? I hope you got some of the things off your wish list and maybe a stocking stuffer or two.

The other day when I was out with the chickens Butterball, who is a rooster hopped on Stella and bit her comb. Now he is way smaller and was no where near that area, if you catch my drift, and I don't want my girls having to put up with that, so tonight we nabbed him and put him outside the coop, but then he paced and paced trying to get back in, and the rest of his brothers and sisters kept watching him. He even was making rooster noises, not quite crowing but definitely different than the girls, so then when it got dusk, I worried and opened the gate and let him back in, I'll have to pay attention and see if he keeps doing it, I only saw it once.  Once he gets bigger I will let him and Chaquita, can you believe it she is a rooster too? I keep saying she cause that is what I hoped Chaquita would be. In fact Mork turned out to be a hen, so I need to spell it Morque. One of the little black ones is a hen too, and she is Mindy. In fact I really think 4 of the 6 are roosters. I will let a couple roosters run around the yard and see if they behave if not, well...let's just hope they do.

I thought I'd share a Stampin' Up! card. I love this set.

I'm almost done my book Gone Girl, so I wanna go to bed early and read. Plus what's up with all the TV Shows playing repeats that I swear were just on two weeks ago? Well I was going to go to bed, but I just realized that for some reason last week the DVR taped Law & Order or something instead of Chicago Fire, so I am watching it online...thank goodness for that.

Have a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping in.

When I first started my blog I called it Stampin with Di so that is how I set it up with typepad. A year or so later when I heard that it was a good idea to buy your domain name when I went to do that Stampin with Di was already gone so I had to add the "g" at the end, but there is no way to change it with typepad or it messes everything up...so please make sure when you are looking for my blog, or emailing me or whatever, make sure to use stampingwithdi.com and then you are sure to get me. I like to remind you now and then.

OMG! So as a Demonstrator we are able to preorder things before you can, that way we have time to play with stuff, make samples or whatever. It is just one of the many perks of being a Demonstrator. And guess what I got in the mail the other day?  The brand new cutter, OMG! you better get ready to order it as soon as you can in November (I am not sure the date), it is beautiful! If you don't want to wait, join my awesome team of Demonstrators for only $99.00 and order your cutter now!

Today was fun at stamp club, it is always great to see everyone.  I also sat down and finally watched Rock of Ages, boy that music sure brought back memories.  It was pretty good, kinda like Mamma Mia in a way. It also reminded me of Glee. I wonder if Tom Cruise had to go to the chiropractor after that role as he always seemed to have a weird posture.

This is another card from last month's shoebox swap, I think it was Cindy's card. Again I didn't finish it till the other day so I don't know if this was the original color combinations.

Have you seen that new show? It is on the CW Network and it stars Mamie Gummer (Meryl Streep's almost look alike daugther), and it is so good. I have watched it each time now and really enjoy it.  She talks to us like Gray's Anatomy but it has more humor in it, I hope it sticks around cause I guess Animal Practice is not sticking around and I love that little Dr. Monkey on it. He is so cute. Of course we don't have to watch him throwing his poop around between takes cause that is what monkeys do right?

This is a very pretty card that was Marjori Miller's (hey sugah!) shoebox swap last month, I love it and finally finished it. Bad I know.  But I must not be the only one that does this, not finishing things at classes/events/etc. cause I think I heard that instead of Make n Takes for Leadership, it will be Take n Makes.  Awesome, more time to chat with my friends.

So I weighed in this morning, and I am down 10 pounds, I am so excited, I do realize though that my goal weight might have to be lower cause I still have some gut/butt and thighs to get rid of, but I know that as I tone up it should help. I just have to keep the mindset and eat sensible. My sweet friend Lorri Heiling and I are making each other accountable, and it totally works.

Well I have stamp club tomorrow so this old gal better get to bed.

Have an awesome Saturday and thanks for stopping in.
