When I was little I got this childrens book and it was about a giraffe and it's name was Anaid (my name spelled backwards), and the whole book was about me and the giraffe, it was so cool getting it because it was a real book about me. I still  have it, do parents still do that anymore? In this day and age of technology, maybe not. I mean even I have not read a paper book ever since I got my Nook. In fact I am reading Girl Gone and OMG! it just took a crazy turn, have you read it?

I have a Storybook Friends stamp set class this weekend and this is one of the cards they are doing.

I saw a cute card by Mary Brown and I just tweaked it a tiny bit. Thanks Mary.

I loved adding the little animals to bring some dimension to the card. Everyone gets half a pack of the Storytime DSP, this makes sure that everyone's cards are the same, especially when you use the DSP as the main focus like this card.  The little frog and doggie are cut out of the DSP too.

Free Stamp Set of the Month - Carry On

Last month one of the neighbors was getting married so Jeff and our neighbor Jim were making coasters and I think each guest was going to get one.

So Jeff came over and said "hey we are stamping" and he wanted me to take a picture.

I think they were more like branding, but still they turned out cute, I don't think I took a picture of the finished one. Neat eh?

So I was all ready to watch American Horror Story, I had set it to tape and oops somehow it didn't, that must have been the show Jeff said no to last night, so I need to figure out how to make it tape the later show and not the earlier one that has something else scheduled. If not, oh well I can watch it online.

I also realized that when shows run over a minute, it won't let me tape one that starts on the hour. Technology is so confusing. I bet the shows do that on purpose so you have to watch them in real time and not skip the commercials.

Stella doesn't understand it either. This is her checking out My Precious yesterday.

Well enough of my blabbering, this old gal has to hit the hay.

Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in.

So while I type my blog the DVR is taping two shows Nashville and Chicago Fire and then I can watch them later, oh and it is set to tape American Horror Story too. Jeff was watching tv and luckily I was in there cause it was going to change the station and I had something set to tape, so I watched Survivor for real, if you didn't watch it don't read anymore...

Survivor two cents:

I am sad that Dana got sick and left, she was a little thing but tough. I figured they would have the small team merge with the other team, but when the team won I was wishing the guy had of looked back and smiled at his past team mate or something. So when Dana left the one girl is crying and what? she had black mascara underneath her eyes...so as well as fancy clothes and stuff they bring makeup? Boy it sure is different then when it first started eh?

I think that the Dawsom chick has a thing for Jeff Probst she kept mentioning him, so when she got kicked off, which I am sure Jeff Kent  is glad since she knew he is a famous ballplayer, she was staring at Jeff Probst like all weird and then hugged all over him, I was waiting for her to wrap her leg around him, then I thought she was going to turn around and say something about the ball player but she didn't. Oh and the end when she was telling to the camera what she wants Jeff Kent to buy for her...holy moly what a cuckoo.

Survivor two cents over.

So this is one of the fun cards we did at the shoebox swap and this is Elizabeth Martinez's card, I love how she used the greetings to make the shape of the tree, and the star punch with the Snow Swirled stamp looks cool.

A piece of DSP made into a pot on the bottom, tied with some ribbon and voila' cute card. Thanks Elizabeth.

So typepad is being all wacky, I just put the recipe in and now it is gone. Maybe I need to type my posts in word and copy and paste....Let me try again.

Stamp Set: Greetings of the Season, Snow Swirled

OK, I gotta be quick and sign off before it messes up again.

Free Stamp Set of the Month - Carry On

004

Welcome back baby, I'm sorry I ever left you.  Isn't she beautiful? I'll tell you more about her later.

So today was a busy day, not work wise since I got NOTHING DONE! Tomorrow will be a big catch up day!!!

I got up early to register for Leadership in Orlando in January and then I was going to go back to bed, but then I went out and saw Jeff in his new shop and fed the chickens and got a second wind...that is a pun cause of the chicken poop...so anyway, I just got ready for the day. I had to be in Mesa at 10am to get my passport picture taken (Canadian passports are only good for 5 years). I met the DirectTV guy as he turned down our road and Jeff said he fixed it really fast. Yay for surround sound again.

So I got my passport picture done, OMG! I look like an old woman when I don't wear my glasses, my eyes are not the same shape, and the glasses hide it, plus they don't want you to smile and distort your face. Ewww...poor Jeff to have to sleep with that face.

So then I headed over to Verizon to get my phone switched to My Precious and then Jeff's phone turned into my Samsung. Jeff is getting used to having a smart phone and I am in heaven, the Droid is so much easier to use and it fits my  hand better, and it is lighter and LOUDER, thank you Motorola.  I got a RAZR M and I have my docking station back so I have an alarm clock again that I can see the time and I even have a dealie so that when I use my GPS (that I will be able to hear now!!!) it can mount on the window or dash so I can actually see it, it came with some other stuff too but will have to figure it out.

After I got home I told Jeff we should run Eric over to set his new IPhone 4 set up, Mike wasn't able to come over today and I knew Eric would be bummed, so as soon as Eric got home from work we headed over and got his phone all set up.  Using it to help him figure it out makes me love My Precious even more, it is so confusing and heavy.  He needs that kind cause it has better apps for speech problems and stuff.

Then it was like almost supper time and since I have classes this weekend and there is a neighborhood block party we said we would do Eric's birthday supper early, so we went to Olive Garden and it was yummy. I was good and ate not quite half my meal and packed it up for Jeff's lunch tomorrow.  I don't want my weightloss to become a weightgain cause I can slip so easy.

So anyway, we got home in the dark and I have nothing stamping to share with you, except a fun day of the whole Gibbs' family has smart phones now...heaven help us, should have seen us at dinner, I was trying to show Jeff how to work my old phone and we were just guessing on what to do for Eric's.

006
Too funny, the only thing the same is the black phone/case.  Jeff's is all  manly, the Superman S, the Home Depot and Lowes apps and he has it on military time. Mine is so pretty, and Eric's is a bunch of square blocks, not sure how to personalize it or even if you can. We got him a nice sturdy case that totally encases the phone.

Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in.
