Thanks for stopping in, see ya next year!

What a Great Day!

Fun, fun, fun!

I met my hunny bunny Rhonda over at one of my favorite antique shops in Chandler called Merchant Square and we had the best time. In fact look at what I got...

...eek! This is it in the store, I didn't get all the dishes. Jeff and Eric came and picked it up and Rhonda and I continued to shop. Gotta love my men.  I paid the guys with a Chicago dog and a pop.

A few years ago I had found this hutch.

Hutch
I think it was twice as much as I spent on mine today...but I didn't know they had layaway and when I finally found out the hutch was long gone, so I was sad as I really liked it, but I love the one I got way better so it was fate.

When I got home we moved the red shelf out and set up my new hutch, then I started decorating.

IMG_20121229_204803_878 copy
What do you think? It has so much storage that I don't even have stuff in all the drawers or cupboards yet. In fact I took out my little black jewelry box stand that I had in here and actually will use it in my bedroom for jewelry...ha! I moved the spinner rack to the other side and I have to figure out where to hang my clock.

Rhonda's sweet Mum gave me a couple doilies that were her Mum's and this one was perfect on the top.

Really my friends, I won't lie...this is the other side of the room...ha! See I don't keep any secrets from ya...ha! This needs to get tidyied up. Thank goodness I don't have any classes till next weekend. Yikes! They won't know how bad it looked...shhh....don't tell.

IMG_20121229_215607_431
I got this cute little red clock.

IMG_20121229_215804_502
Rhonda spotted this for me, I wanted another one. It is actually an old receipt holder, they are hard to find cause they are probably dangerous if you think about it. What I use it for is when I am cutting ribbon, I put it on the spike and then the spool just spins and I don't get the ribbon all tangled.

This paper towel holder screamed clucked to be taken home...I love it.

So wasn't that a fun day? Hard to believe this year is almost over eh?

Have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping in.

Jeff has always liked to tinker, with wood, with metal, with plaster, it doesn't matter. He took art in school and can do pretty much anything.  He has a Shopsmith but didn't really have room to do much with it in the little red barn, but a few months ago he had a bigger shop built and he has been setting it up and "playing".

Look what he brought in to me a couple weeks ago.

012 copy
It is a little jack knife made out of wood. It even has the different colors like a real one.

015 copy
He even put that little gouge thing on the "blade" to open it.

017 copy
Isn't it cute? It just sits on my desk. You could use it as a letter opener.

So Eric plays with these toys/figurines/computer people called Skylanders, and he has like over 60 of them and they were all over his room, on his dresser, in the closet, on his tv stand. So we looked around to find some sort of shelf for them and couldn't find one, so Jeff used his handy dandy Shopsmith and his amazing brain that can just figure stuff out, and made this...

011 copy
Pretty snazzy eh? Of course it is filled, and Eric says he needs another one...ha!

Well this is a quick non-stamping post, but I just had to brag about my hubby.

Have an awesome Saturday and thanks for stopping in.

Before I forget, don't miss out on the Clearance Rack Blitz, more items were added today!

Ok so this flower trim ribbon is gorgeous and I just keep thinking of all sorts of things to do with it. You are definitely going to want to order this when the Spring catalog goes live...of course if you join my team you can begin ordering from the Spring catalog now...just sayin'.

I saw this card by Mercedes Weber and I had to do it...I added the flower trim rose cause I loved the look of it on the Spring catalog cover.  Thanks Mercedes for inspiring me.

005 copy
Eek! Don't you just love it. Plus they are so soft that they squish down so if you are going to mail it it does not leave a big bump.

003 copy
Another thing you are going to want to order are the doilies...too cute, and this amazing Tea for Two Designer Series paper. It is so much fun to use just by itself, it has so many quilting kinda looks.

Stamp set: Oh, Hello

Ink: Early Espresso, Whisper White craft

Paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Tea for Two DSP

Misc: 5/8" flower trim, Ticket Duo punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, paper doilies, Natural 7/16" trim ribbon

OK, I better hit the hay, my eyes have been bothering me, I think it is allergies, I need to get some drops, they just seem dry and scratchy. They look fine but they feel tired.

Have an awesome Friday and thanks for stopping in.

001

I wanted to say a quick Happy Birthday to my little sister Jacqui...Happy Birthday!! I love you!

Sisters
This is Jacqui and I at our little sister Courtney's wedding in 2011.

Christmas is over and I was working on swaps all day, so thought I would post a quick picture of the tree (that I need to take down soon - even though it is fake, I want to get the house back to normal - you can see Toby's ornament).

For Christmas we got a Blue Ray player.  Our DVD player had seen better days and had been acting up and most of the movies are Blue Ray now and they don't cost that much now so we got it. We figured it would be easy to hook up, just unhook the DVD player and voila' hook up the Blue Ray...well nope, they didn't have the same hook ups, this round plug would not go into this square hole.  I also figured out why people don't have entertainment centers anymore, poor Jeff had it all pulled out from the wall, he did this and that and nope. So finally we said we would use the HDMI cord off of Eric's TV and see if that works if it did then we would know what we needed. Yeah, that was it.  So this morning I am looking at the instruction book (Jeff looked at it yesterday) and it says right on the box too HDMI cord recommended...for the love of Pete.  I was not going out today (Boxing Day in Canada) to get a cord, I'll do it another day.

Ok enough of my blabbing.

Have an awesome Thursday and thanks for stopping in.
