Top Ten - June

Top Ten June July 004 copy

So I finally got around to doing Top Ten cards before I left for Founder's Circle, I can not believe I was that behind, with getting sick at convention and recovering and then our event last month, time flew.

I looked around the internet and found some fun cards, this one was cased by Barbara Raffman, thanks Barbara.

So I removed the cute doily from the infinity scarf we got at Founder's Circle, I knew I would not wear it and I totally loved the doily and needed one that size and shape.

Oh and Jeff cleaned up Toby's old crate, we are going to get some new chicks in a week or so. This will get them home and then I will need to set up a brooder for them on the back porch. I can't wait. I've been thinking of names. I know...get a life...ha!

Well this old gal is back to work.

Have an awesome hump day and thanks for stopping in.

Founder's Circle Swap - For Real

002 copy

Thought I better show you my finished Founder's Circle swap, I know I teased you by showing you the cardstock and a little snippet.

I used the stamp set Best of Flowers, this is one of the 25th Anniversary sets and I love this hydrangea. These sets come clear mount, but I glued it permanently to a block, I wanna keep this one.

I watercolored on the shimmery paper, it lets you play around a bit more with color over the Whisper White which tears easier when it gets too wet. Watercolor paper lets you play with color even more. I do have a 7 page PDF tutorial showing you how to watercolor if you are interested.

015 copy
After I got them done I wanted to add a little silver shimmer to the flower petals so I stamped the flower on vellum and then I cut the flower petals out to make a mask and then I laid it over the completed image and stamped with the silver encore pad with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. Cool eh?

014 copy
This will probably make more sense. If you want to see masking in another way, here is an oldie but a goodie masking tutorial.

001 copy

So we swapped in our jammies which is so fun. We had a group picture taken, can you find me?

Founder's Circle 2013
So today I was so tired and did a lot of nothin'. That won't get me to Founder's Circle next year will it? So tomorrow it is back to work for me.

Have an awesome Tuesday and thanks for stopping in.

Home at Last

Founder's Circle was so much fun and it sure goes fast once you are there. We had an uneventful flight home, thank goodness, I heard some girls got delayed places and missed connecting flights. Hopefully the will get home safe and soon.

Thank you again to Stampin' Up! for always going over and above to spoil us. Thanks to my downline for being part of my amazing team, and thanks to my sweet customers to help me earn the trip, I sure hope I have as good a year as I did this year so I can go again next year. Fingers are crossed.

I am beat and going to bed early, so will leave you with this cute picture from the Ranch we went to...

Founder's Circle Day Four

The last full day and what a lot of fun, we knew it was a western theme, so I packed my bling jeans and my cowboy boots, but today was hot so I just wore capris and my sandals, most people did. Plus I got a good look at myself in a full body mirror and realize I really need to lose weight.

oh I forgot to show last night's pillow gift, it was this cute little pouch that holds our ribbon scissors.

Here is Sherri and I working on our make n takes, I started to get a migraine so I went and laid down a bit. Probably too much laughing and not enough sleep.

We had different games to play in order to win prizes. So fun, here we were milking a "cow". Mine had a busted udder and milk was going all over my hands, so Colleen Magness my sweet friend gave me the cow bell award. I love her!

Here is my sweet team the Cow Tales. I got them all Sheriff badges.

Here I am doing the archery game, my hubby should be impressed by the big bruise I'll go home with from the string rubbing on my arm..ha!

DSCN0858
Then we went to supper in a cute room and look at the cute horseshoe at our table setting.

DSCN0864

Then after being sang to by a couple cowboys and then it was back to the hotel and our last pillow gift. Eek! I couldnt wait to see what charm we got. Last year they started a new tradition with a charm, we got the bracelet and a charm last year.

DSCN0865

Oh my gosh I love it a blingy horseshoe!

Now to pack, look at all the goodies I got. Some you can't see cause it's new stuff.

This was leading up to the last night event.

This was tonight's goodies. Thanks Stampin' Up! for another amazing event.

I gotta finish packing so I better get.

Have an awesome Sunday and thanks for stopping in.

Founder's Circle Day Three

Kanab here we come!!

Today has to be one of the favorite things I like to do at Founder's Circle and that is to go to Kanab and see everyone that works behind the scenes making our stamps and inks, cutting paper, and so much more.

We got up bright and early and loaded up on the buses, it is about a two hour ride I guess and we do question and answers, play games, eat snacks, and have a grand old time.

Then we get to Kanab and are greeted like this. Everyone comes out and waves and we high five and thank each other. It is nice to see familiar faces every year.

DSCN0731

Then we can take a tour of the factory, the apartment upstairs, this year we had a make n take, and then we had a great lunch where we visit with the employees.

DSCN0741
I love getting to see  my friend Cherokee every year.  I met him at my very first convention over 14 years ago. He is such a sweetie and told us how the plates are made.

DSCN0733
Look at all that rubber that needs to find a good home, won't you like to take some home today? Don't forget you are getting double eggs while I am gone. Well we did get to bring some goodies home with us. Yay!

DSCN0743
I even got to stick a stamp set rubber dealie onto the sticky stuff. Let me tell ya I didn't do that good. I told them that is why I sell stamps and not make them.

DSCN0788
We went out and got our rock photo...it was a little windy.

DSCN0791
Then we went back inside for lunch. Look how cute the room is with the checkered table cloths.

DSCN0793
Creme Brulle anyone? Yes please!

DSCN0792
Perhaps you prefer chocolate mousse?

Founders Circle 2013 093

How about a cupcake?

DSCN0798
Then it was off to the rubber park, another favorite thing to do, we didn't do this last year cause we did the rafting ride.

DSCN0800
Finally I got my feet in it, usually I have sneakers on. This is Sherri and my tootsies.

Then we came back and it was time for supper time flies when you are having fun. We went to a cute italian restaurant and the chef Alfredo even came out and kissed our hands, he is right from Italy. He was so sweet he was saying he would go back and get more sauce so we could take our left overs home and we said we were at a hotel, and he was like "what are you doing to me?" I will share the kissing picture when Sherri sends it, she got some good ones this trip.

Then Michelle and I went to Sherri's room and we watched The Heat. We had to get the manager...who is Nicole and she is amazing. She had to come up to turn the closed captioning on, we called down and the man at the phone said in all his years no one had asked that. It was so funny.

So now it is bed time again, only two more sleeps and I go home. It sure does go fast.

Oh I forgot to take a picture of my pillow gift, I will post that tomorrow. Super cute, oh and last nights gift...it is an infinity scarf I think it is called.

DSCN0728
This is it wrapped in its wooden box.  I think I will use it as a table/dresser runner instead cause I don't wear scarves very often in Arizona. I love the doily on it.

Well this old gal is off to bed,  I can sleep in tomorrow though...yay!

Have an awesome Saturday and thanks for stopping in.
