Kanab here we come!!
Today has to be one of the favorite things I like to do at Founder's Circle and that is to go to Kanab and see everyone that works behind the scenes making our stamps and inks, cutting paper, and so much more.
We got up bright and early and loaded up on the buses, it is about a two hour ride I guess and we do question and answers, play games, eat snacks, and have a grand old time.
Then we get to Kanab and are greeted like this. Everyone comes out and waves and we high five and thank each other. It is nice to see familiar faces every year.
Then we can take a tour of the factory, the apartment upstairs, this year we had a make n take, and then we had a great lunch where we visit with the employees.
I love getting to see my friend Cherokee every year. I met him at my very first convention over 14 years ago. He is such a sweetie and told us how the plates are made.
Look at all that rubber that needs to find a good home, won't you like to take some home today? Don't forget you are getting double eggs while I am gone. Well we did get to bring some goodies home with us. Yay!
I even got to stick a stamp set rubber dealie onto the sticky stuff. Let me tell ya I didn't do that good. I told them that is why I sell stamps and not make them.
We went out and got our rock photo...it was a little windy.
Then we went back inside for lunch. Look how cute the room is with the checkered table cloths.
Creme Brulle anyone? Yes please!
Perhaps you prefer chocolate mousse?
How about a cupcake?
Then it was off to the rubber park, another favorite thing to do, we didn't do this last year cause we did the rafting ride.
Finally I got my feet in it, usually I have sneakers on. This is Sherri and my tootsies.
Then we came back and it was time for supper time flies when you are having fun. We went to a cute italian restaurant and the chef Alfredo even came out and kissed our hands, he is right from Italy. He was so sweet he was saying he would go back and get more sauce so we could take our left overs home and we said we were at a hotel, and he was like "what are you doing to me?" I will share the kissing picture when Sherri sends it, she got some good ones this trip.
Then Michelle and I went to Sherri's room and we watched The Heat. We had to get the manager...who is Nicole and she is amazing. She had to come up to turn the closed captioning on, we called down and the man at the phone said in all his years no one had asked that. It was so funny.
So now it is bed time again, only two more sleeps and I go home. It sure does go fast.
Oh I forgot to take a picture of my pillow gift, I will post that tomorrow. Super cute, oh and last nights gift...it is an infinity scarf I think it is called.
This is it wrapped in its wooden box. I think I will use it as a table/dresser runner instead cause I don't wear scarves very often in Arizona. I love the doily on it.
Well this old gal is off to bed, I can sleep in tomorrow though...yay!
Have an awesome Saturday and thanks for stopping in.
