I hope I have not shown this card yet. This was from my You've Got This Class in the Mail. You just add drops of ink refill on a baby wipe and use it like an ink pad. Just make sure to ink back and forth and not up and down or you will muddy the colors.
When I go to Convention or Stampin' Up! events I always try to find a unique gift for my downline that are attending. So this year I had my friend Suzi make some custom sterling silver cuff bracelets, and I had my other friend Leslie make some business card holders to tuck the bracelet inside.
Here are the business card holders, I bought a lot of the Beau Chateau fabric when it retired and have been making (or I should say having someone else make) matching gifts with it for the last few years.
Here is the cuff my girls got with the Stampin' Up! saying "inspire . create . share". They loved them. I know I have not taken mine off since I got it...well I had to take it off for my Make n Takes n Lunch day cause I didn't want the girls seeing it...I put it right back on once everyone had left.
When we had our Advisory Board retreat last year we did a my favorite thing gift and I had asked the girls earlier what their favorite colors were and luckily Leslie kept better notes than me, so she made them matching business card holders and this is the bracelet I had Suzi make for them. They truly are "sisters by heart". Thanks Suzi and Leslie for making such special gifts.
Have an awesome Thursday and thanks for stopping in.
While we were at Convention I figured the ducks would lay their first egg. That is what happened with the chickens, I went out of town and then they started laying. Eric even teased and told us that Mike and him ate the eggs and they were so good. I was like "what? I wanted to take a picture and blog about it". When we got home from the trip Eric told us he was kidding.
Well the joke was on Eric cause the morning after we got back home...
...we got our first duck egg. A little bloody, that is hard work laying your first egg. I was expecting it to be a bit bigger but I think later they will be, plus they look all scratched up, the ducks must push them around with their beaks and scratch them up on the straw. Probably thinking "What the heck is that? Did that come out of me? What the heck did I eat?"
And today...
...two more for a total of three!
So we cooked them up tonight to try them out.
They tasted pretty good too, a bit meatier or richer than a chicken egg.
I can't wait to bake with them, I have heard they really make a difference in cakes and stuff.
Have an awesome Wednesday and thanks for stopping in.
Don't forget my Double Rewards Points end today!!!
I showed a sneak peek of some swaps I was doing for Convention. I love the You're Sublime stamp set and I also love the Pretty Petals DSP stack and they go together great.
I did a quick video of how I changed the boy frog into a girl frog. Jeff got me set up with a better camera mount so I will be able to do more videos...yay!!! Let me know what kind of videos you want to see ok?
Here are the finished cards.
Look at those cute lips.
Do you think she will turn into a Princess if she gets kissed? Look how cute the DSP is, it looks like lily pads doesn't it?
Well I don't know where my posts went that I sent through my phone while I was gone...hmmm...I only see 2. Gotta love technology...when it works. Couldn't be user error could it?
